Postres caseros abundantes.Precio moderado

We have been there many times. We very much enjoy the great food, the lovely seating (great if you can get the table close to the fireplace) and the young albariño wines :)

Tuesday, after market in Foz, we walked the promenade and were taken by this very busy restaurant. The waiter seemed under stress but he coped admirably and we were served promptly. Three courses each, a bottle of wine, water, bread and a coffee - all for â¬24 and this included 4 extra for eating outside! Astonishing as such great value.

Had lunch with friends on Sunday 16th July, ordered seafood starters and blue lobster rice as main dish, everything really yummy. Superb quality albariño wines. Good relation quality/price. Top quality products. Lovely staff. Will repeat there for sure. I do recommend.

I was staying in the Rural Casa next door (lovely small hotel - 20 meters away) where Aida made me most welcome and gave me an english translation and explanation of the menu which she had prepared for previous guests. Aida spoke excellent english having made two government funded trips to UK, to Canterbury and Leeds to learn english - so learning a lot of different english!Although her explanations were understandable we spent some time perfecting them to "proper" english, during which I learned that in Spain you have to differentiate between female cow meat, and male beef meat. We don't have that in UK. Also the difference between broken eggs and scrambled eggs, the former having any additions (cheese, mushrooms etc) added after cooking and the latter during cooking. A new one on me.Anyway - after all that the meal certainly lived up to expectations and breakfast the next morning was beautifully presented..The hotel/restaurant was a little hard to find. It was originally in the countryside but now has some big residential apartment blocks opposite. But don't let that put you off. It is a little oasis and the restaurant is superb. And if Aida is still there she makes it perfect. I give it 5 out of 5.

I like the decoration and of course the offer of this place. From wine and tapas to Gin Tonic. We went a couple of times during our visit this summer and let ourselves surprise with different gin tonics each time.

Great quality food at great value prices. Friendly staff and excellent background music. Take care of ordering pizza. They come fully loaded. A small pizza between 2 if having starters, or a medium pizza between 2 if not, would be sufficient. Or you will find yourself with pizza for lunch the next day

Great food. Nice service. Big selection for the menu and an interesting wine list. We ordered "arroz con bogavante" new in the menu this year. Absolutely delicious. It can be very busy during summer and weekends, book in advance.

Pulperia "Rente ao Mar" is a typical Galician seafood tasca located in the fishing port of Foz, where typical Galician rations are served, such as octopus, mussels and empanadas ... as well as the best wines on earth.
Well, I really do not know how to start this review... the experience was a complete disappointment. The octopus was very salty (octopus is a very expensive product, so, the customer demands great quality and perfect cook), the padron pepper very salty too and not fresh (frozen most likely, by the color) (I know pulpo and pimentos padron, I visit Padrón (city in GalÃcia), home of pulpo and pimentos Padrón many times). The mussels were ok, nothing special. The only thing good was the wine (Ribeiro). For the #1 restaurant in Foz, it wasn't a pleasant experience and I really expected more.
