Endroit calme dans la calle mayor. La carte n'est pas énorme mais c'est ce qui explique sans doute la qualité des plats servis. L'accueil est simple et attentif. Les prix très raisonnables. Une très bonne halte pour se restaurer les papilles.

Bar con terraza grande en una plaza en el centro de Briviesca. Está bien para tomar algo y tienen raciones para picar, como bravas, croquetas, rabas, chopitos...Pedimos rabas y los chopitos y muuuy normalitos. Es verdad que eran fiestas y estaban a tope.

I've visited here a couple of times over the last 3 years. It's not a flashy restaurant and can be quite loud with locals playing cards and dominos at times.There is no written menu, so a grasp of Spanish is really imperative. The food is tapas style and there is a great range in addition to those on display at the counter.

Callejeando por Briviesca, me fui a tomar un clarete, te ponen una tapita de embutido. Me anime y tome un plato de careta, que me gusto (2,5), con otro vinito. Los vinos a 0,80. El dueño muy amable.

It may sound like an oxymoron but this is what Miguel Cobo achieves. Traditional dishes that can be recognized but have an extremely modern touch. The menestra is prepared with the vegetables cooked separately to get each to the perfect degree unlike the traditional overcooked mixture. The pressed lamb is fantastic. The slow cooked shoulder of suckling lamb ( and this is a great part of the secret) is mixed with a few vegetables, pressed, seared and served over a reduction sauce of roasted lamb juices, vegetables, bones soup and mushrooms, all topped with a touch of couscous. Exquisite. The service was very good and at the end Mr. Cobo showed up to chat and tell us how he had achieved the magic. The dinning room is very pleasant and overlooks the garden. This restaurant is worth the short detour from the autopista and an excellent preparation for a visit to , stunning, medieval Frias, half an hour's drive.

We had a wonderful lunch with family and friends. The shrimp are uniquely prepared. The fish, the lamb, the meat, all are excellent. And not even think the dessert. That was awesome.
