Based on a past great experience, on our recent trip to Nashville we returned to Bartaco for dinner. Expectations were high and Bartaco exceeded. The margaritas we had at the bar while waiting for our table were nothing short of fabulous. Nothing fake here. Fresh squeezed lime juice with some muscle from Ashley (?) and we were set. We sat outside on a beautiful evening. John Rock was our server and was great...anticipating needs and keeping us well hydrated while also giving us some great recs on the tacos to try. Everyone of them were great. Pork belly...nothing else needs to be said. The duck taco was really good...sort of like crispy Peking duck with light sauce on a corn tortilla. Highly recommend Bartaco for a great meal, drinks and atmosphere.

Visited Nashville and on our first night we wanted to get off Broadway. We were seated right away and ordered sangria, beer and bourbon drinks. The verde salsa and tortilla chips were an added bonus. We then ordered three types of tacos. The service and food were superb. The tacos were not served as hot (warm) as they should have been. That was the only negative. (actually a big negative)

We were so excited to try Taco Mamacita, We started with the trio- salsa, guac and queso. Seriously...how can you go wrong with salsa and guacamole???? They were horrible! Salsa tasted and looked like a can of tomato sauce. The guac so hot couldnt even stomach more. The queso was decent. We also ordered the Memphis Nachos, which were ok, but nothing at all like Memphis BBQ. I also tried the Memphis taco- it had so much slaw I couldn't taste anything else. The Royale taco was pretty good. My husband ordered the hot chicken taco and hated the sauce it was in and said it wasnt hot at all. The Baha taco was just ok.
