We love to cook and we love to eat even more. We were really looking forward to our dining experience at Adega but were extremely disappointed. We had the 5 course classic menu with the wine pairing. We started out with the cheese platter which you would think they would either bring out the first wine a little early or suggest sharing a glass with the cheese platter. We had to ask about wine and wound up with two glasses they suggested at $30 each. It was too much wine in addition to the pairing so we could not finish it all and still drive home. The food was mediocre at best and the amuse bouchée was our favorite thing that was served. We did not finish most of our 5 courses because they really weren’t worth eating.Overall it was not an experience I would repeat or suggest other people try—especially for the cost associated with it.

Visit this restaurant for the 1st time this week while on a business trip. Very unique place!!! The seafood (Lobster, Crabs, shrimps) come in plastic bags and the restaurant does not provide plates. Get ready to eat with your hands and make a mess. Side dishes are served on small paper bowls. The shrimp and sausage jambalaya is very good.

The City Fish

I am looking for a fish and chips place that will offer THICK CUT halibut in a light batter. There is one in Menlo Park, but I am hoping to find a similar place further south. The thicker the fish, especially flakey halibut, the less greasy it is. Can't say this place has mastered it, but I do give them credit for offering fish dishes that are NOT fried, which is not common for fish and chips joints. All said, my review is for the City Fish in Cupertino, however I am assuming the menu is the same in both locations.

Mom's Day brunch was just okay. Service was nice but not really attentive. Food was okay. Sea bass with broth could have used more flavor. Have had better in Asian restaurants. Ceder plank salmon was okay. Kid's menu was good. In general, okay but not great.

We visit at least once a month. Sometimes we sit at the oyster bar, sometimes outside if warm. Prices and food are worth four starts - not too expensive and food very good.

Came here prior to the performance of Wicked at Broadway San Jose. From 3:30-6:30, it’s happy hour at the bar. Wine and well drinks are $6. They have 8-9 entrees that are $7-$11. We had Calamari, mussels and clams and lamb chops. They also had lobster rolls and sliders. We had dinner reservations in the restaurant but I cancelled as we really had full meals at th bar. Great food!!
