Situated 11 miles (18 km) southeast of downtown Seattle, Washington, Renton straddles the southeast shore of Lake Washington, at the mouth of the Cedar River. While long an important salmon fishing area for Native Americans, Renton was first settled by people of European descent in the 1860s, and its early economy was based on coal mining, clay production, and timber export. Today, Renton is best known as the final assembly point for the Boeing 737 family of commercial airplanes, but it is also home to a growing number of well known manufacturing, technology, and healthcare organizations, including Boeing Commercial Airplanes Division, Paccar, Kaiser Permanente, IKEA, Providence Health & Services, and Wizards of the Coast. As of 2016, the population in Renton is 101,300, up from 90,927 at the 2010 census. Renton currently is the 8th largest city in Washington State, and is the 4th largest in King County. The National Football League's Seattle Seahawks have a training facility in Renton. It is the second-largest facility in the NFL at 200,000 square feet (19,000 m).

I'm one that is usually skeptical of buffets but this was amazing!! The selection is HUGE and plenty of choices for everyone! My kids were especially excited about the chocolate fountain and cotton candy for dessert. This was one buffet where I actually felt like I got my money's worth because of so many different options and, even though we were there later in the evening, it was all still fresh and delicious. It was also busy but everything seemed to be getting refilled as needed. We will definitely return next time we are in the area.

I had read that this was a highly rated restaurant in Renton. It deserves it's reputation. The food was very good. We had the baked brie and cambreozola appetizer. Then we had Salmon BLT salad, the mixed seafood grill, the Idaho filleted trout and the healthy salad with grilled Salmon. Everything was prepared in a healthy fashion. Of course we sinned and had the Mt Rainier cherry Sundae, delish!

Great poke - good options and good service. I'm from the East Coast so poke is not as big a deal there...yet. But it should be. These guys make it fresh and reasonably priced. Big avocado chucks, cucumber, you can pile on the works.

The name of the restaurant is misspelled, it is Shuga Jazz Bistro, and that should be corrected. During a five-day trip to the area last year, I ate here twice! During my most recent trip (last week), I ate there again. I love the food at this restaurant. The chef is very approachable. He welcomes feedback from his patrons. The restaurant is fairly new, so it can be quiet earlier in the dinner shift, but it does get busy. I have not been able to experience this myself, but they do offer live jazz. You will not be disappointed in the meal. Expertly prepared. Very tasty! Don't miss it!
