After three weeks of serious dining in France, we just wanted a breather and a more informal meal. Since we were staying at the hotel, and already knew what there was to offer along the waterfront, we opted for the hotel dining room. The greeting is genuinely friendly and the views over the marina quite pleasing. With a big glass of decent beer or wine, hotel food is an acceptable option. We order the house salad-which consisted of a Croque Madame, a well dressed portion of salad greens with a nice wedge of Camembert and tasty pommes frites. The helping of "fresh fruit" was anything but-fruit salad from a jar of industrial provenance. The restaurant offers a wider menu of seafood and other dishes. I can't speak to how well they are executed, although some scallops going to another table looked attractive. There is something to be said for a hotel dining room that offers decent if not exemplary food for the tired traveler.

We visit the area frequently and just called in by chance. The restaurant was very busy, but we were accommodated quite quickly despite not having booked. The set menus are very good value, the food and service exceptional. Interestingly the wine was also very good value, even wines we had purchased direct from the domain were very reasonable compared to some establishments. Definitely visit again.

When we arrived straight away they couldn’t find our reservation. We were then taken to a small room apart from the main restaurant where there was a table for two and an (empty) table for six. Whilst my husband had a view of the port all I could see was the toilet door. Once seated we were left completely alone without even being able to order a drink for 15 minutes. At the point where we were about to leave a waitress arrived with a menu and the wine/drinks list. We asked for a small change to the set menu as my husband is on a restricted diet, the manager was called and her attitude was almost aggressive. We got up, left and had a lovely meal in a different restaurant.

At first glance, this looked promising. Recommendations from the better guides, good reviews on the French version of trip advisor. A plateau of fruits de mer on an adjoining table looked great. The wine list revealed Mailly and Lallier champagnes, the latter in both full and half bottles - both great choices. And then the chef got involved. Maybe if we’d had those fruits de mer we’d have left happy, but what they managed to do to a half lobster and a brill left us very sad. The lobster, presumably fresh from their tank, was dried out and bland. The chef had, sadly, discovered a spiralizer before adding a salad. The brill was better but the accompaniments were reminsicent of something you might be served on a rainy winter’s day in Antwerp. Where was the innovative cooking the French trip advisor spoke of?Service, as some others have noted, is amateurish. Interest in customers non-existent. Who cares why we sent so much back? No-one at this restaurant. But we did like that Lallier...

Day 1 of our short break for our wedding anniversary. We are staying at the Hotel des Bains and this restaurant adjoins the hotel. There is another restaurant right beside La Table de Louis so it may be easy to get the other restaurant by mistake. The welcome was very friendly and they do offer English menus which does help when your French isn't fluent and you don't quite understand the way vegetables and sauces are cooked. The menu is varied if not extensive, 6 starters, mains and deserts as well as sea food menu. The restaurant is extremely clean and I personally like the eclectic decorations.Duck croquet for starters - fantastic. Guinea fowl for mains - fantastic. Cheese for desert - not fantastic but good (all the cheeses were very similar in flavour and texture and I would have preferred a little more variety. My wife had three different options and she was very happy with her choices. Portion sizes were just right - although I'm sure some would like a bit more. The vegetable selection was extensive, possibly 6 different options. You only had a small amount of each vegetable so again it was just right. Price wise, 67 euros for 3 courses, coffee and a litre bottle of water, no alcohol. Not the cheapest but I thought the quality was great so I feel the price was reasonable. On a cold and miserable Friday evening in early March the restaurant was nearly full so I would suggest booking during busier times.

Starting with the hotel, the reception was warm, friendly and efficient. Our group had three rooms, and they were all comfortable, clean and well-equipped.Arriving quite late in the evening, and with some very young children, we were very pleased to accept the hotel's invitation to eat there, and very pleased to have done so. They offer a fairly wide range of meal choices, and we all had lovely meals. We asked for quick service, in order not to keep tired children from their beds, and we so impressed with that service. The breakfasts were of the same high service, and given the proximity to a delightful beach, we cannot praise this hotel and its restaurant too highly.

We went to Bistro'nomik to celebrate my husband's birthday. The restaurant is quite small so it is necessary to book particularly on the weekends. We were offered a tasty amuse bouche which was a fresh fish pate. The service was very friendly. Although the menu was quite small, all the dishes were delicious. I particularly enjoyed the foie gras pate and the delicious chocolate & caramel tart for desert. Others had lamb for their main course which was delicious. We will definitely return to this restaurant and it rates highly compared to others in Granville.

Not your typical restaurant. It is a seafood market, where they serve the daily fresh catch. Food varies from seafood platter, including mussels, oysters, shrimps and/ or crabs. You can eat in or to go. The market closes at 7:30 pm. They stop serving around 6:30 pm. Take to Go, but food is out of the fridge.

To begin with, golfers should make absolutely sure to visit the Granville links at Breville-sur-Mer. This is a fabulous course, always challenging and very interesting - and very well maintained. (BTW, it could be a good idea for Tripadvisor to open a section for golf courses!!)The Albatros restaurant, in the Club House, offers an interesting choice of appetizers and entrées that can rival with the menus of many - almost all - restaurants in the regions. My hat to the Chef, who's really doing an outstanding job!
