The "Ninja" slider was one of the best sandwiches that I've tried in a very, very long time. The ingredients just work together so well. The pork belly is cooked perfectly. The Cisco Kid and the "Who You Calling Chicken" slider were both very good as well. This just might be worth the drive from Pensacola to get every so often. I highly recommend.

I can't speak to dining in here but if you go through the drive-thru, check your gas tank ahead of time. The wait can be monumental even when it's relatively light on customers. Food's usually up to the average Taco Bell standard, though. Also, contrary to Taco Bell's reputation, this location doesn't stay open very late, no later than midnight on weekends. Why our Baldwin County TB locations close so early is a mystery.

The food is ok, not the best. The Eastern Shore doesn’t really have any great Mexican restaurants. We always order the super burrito (chicken and ground beef) which is IMHO the best thing on the menu. It is enough for 2 if you’re not a big eater. The guacapico dip is fresh and tasty.

This was very good to me. The atmosphere is so friendly and it's so clean. The think I loved was this African American employee singing, in a rather good voice...WELCOME TO MOES, WELCOME TO MOES, it was so cute. The food was good, and fast. The only criticism I had was that they gave me the wrong order, and I didn't pay attention to what they were putting on my burrito. I picked out the meat that was wrong and had pretty much a vegetarian burrito, but that's ok. I will better attention next time. I would go back, hopefully the melodic greeter will still be there.

Poor Mexican

Reviewed By Posh1609

This is the third time I've visited the Poor Mexican with my daughter, son-in-law, and three teenage grandkids. The chips and salsa are typical, as is the cheese sauce, which the family habitually orders in Mexican restaurants. The Mexican beer and nonalcoholic drinks were as expected. All servings were as much as or more than we could eat. I ordered the puerco verde. The flavor of the sauce was past excellent, but the small pieces of ham were tough. Had they been larger, I doubt I could have chewed them finely enough to swallow. Everyone else was very pleased with their dishes, including the hamburger, which my grandson said was great; but he barely touched his french fried, which he said were weird. I tasted one and thought it was especially good, so maybe more attuned to adult tastebuds than kids'. Service was prompt, efficient, professional, and courteous, as it always is at the Poor Mexican. Dinner for 6 with beers, extra appetizers, but no desserts (no one had saved room) came to $99 and pennies. The waiter earned the 20 percent I left him. I'm not sure l've ever eaten at a Tex-Mex restaurant I'd rate 5 star, but the Poor Mexican meets all reasonable expectations, and I'm sure it will be on the agenda my next visit when we take the grandkids out to dinner in Spanish Fort, Alabama.

Don Carlos Mexican Restaurant

Reviewed By crownct938

Friends of ours picked us up from the Pensacola airport and on our way to their home we decided to stop for dinner at Don Carlos. We were seated on an outside patio which was nice since it was a pleasant evening. We ordered Margaritas and even the medium size was very large. Our dinners were a chicken quesadillas which were good, chicken enchiladas supreme which my husband said were very good, and I had the grilled shrimp and onions with garlic sauce. It was very good. The food was good but nothing exceptional and our waitress although pleasant was not attentive although the restaurant was not very busy. When we were finished and wanted to pay the bill I had to find another waitress to find ours. We would think twice about returning.
