Daddy's Tacos

Reviewed By ClintC283

Recently dined here with the wife while we were out running errands. We felt some tacos were very good and some were not so great. The fried mahi mahi taco and the chicken street taco were our favorites. The queso, bacon breakfast burrito, and brisket egg, and cheese taco were not so great. If you dine here, I recommend the fish taco over the others we tried.

We were looking for good tacos and found them in this little hole in the wall place. I had crunchy beef tacos, spouse had taco plate with beef tongue, tripe and carditas (sp) tacos. He said they were delicious. Rice and Beans were very good too. If you want fancy, this isn't the place, if you want reasonably priced good food, come on in.

Del Sur Grill

Reviewed By OmAndNom

We have reviewed Del Sur over a year ago, and thought another review was in order! Om: We gave Del Sur 5/5 before, and things have changed…they got BETTER!! Not only do they have great street taco’s, but at some point they expanded their menu to include burrito’s, sandwiches, quesadilla’s, and even a few sides! I had a few of the street tacos, I believe pork, and they were outstanding. I also tried one of their newer items, a quesadilla, and WOW! This is far from your Taco Bell variety, this was thick, delicious, full of meat, and even topped with a sauce of some kind. Outstanding! I really hope they are on their way to getting their own brick and mortar restaurant, because they need to be noticed for the delicious food that they have. Just because they are located in a gas station, do NOT overlook Del Sur for a quick bite to eat!Nom: I think my handsome love it right! I think they have gotten better and kudos to them for not adding so many things to the menu that something would fall flat. It seemed like everything they added was great, great smells, look of the food the complimentary way other patrons talked about the food so I would be inclined to believe you could order anything on the menu and not be disappointed! Of course my eyes were bigger than my stomach and I ordered two beef street tacos and rice and beans…delicious!! I did eat one of the tacos and some beans and rice, but not all of it! So my handsome love got to eat one of my tacos and I think he really liked that one too. Can’t wait to go back with my handsome love!

Taco Crush

Okay - same wife, new house, new town. Tired after a week of unpacking boxes and excited when she initiates an outing to someplace new. Convenient strip mall location facing the North Dallas Parkway at Eldorado. Clinical, functional interior - a step up from maybe fast food but you dont come here to hang out - though several diners preferred dine in option it seems. Beer/wine/frozen margs poured by cashier. No on the rocks option which would have been less of a brain freeze experience. Tacos (and even more so the creative and very tasty fillings are the star. We tried 5 and felt like there were a few more including traditional breakfast tacos ($2.75) to come back for at a future moment of craving. We enjoyed the brisket (topped with sliced avocado and sweet chili sauce, cornflake fried shrimp, falafel, blackened fish and tempura battered fish (topped with little tiny crunchy french fry stix. Yummy and fresh. If i had to wish for an option - i would wish for the tortilla to be more than a wrapper/bystander and maybe four vs. corn option and then griddled just so for an added texture element.

Ernesto's Fine Mexican Food

Reviewed By Jim_Parker_Texas

We went to Ernesto’s for dinner last Friday evening and ordered the Beef Fajita’s for two. The beef was stringy and under-cooked, it looked and tasted like the beef was baked in the oven vs. grilled, (aka there were no searing marks on the beef, onions or green peppers). In addition, there are too many tables in the restaurant so everyone is squeezed-in and on a Friday night it was just awful: it was warm, crowded and noisy.

Mesa's Mexican Grill

Our server was so helpful, when I ordered a particular plate and asked about it, he suggested something else I'd like and the Tacos Vallarta was outstanding. Everyone loved their choice of entree, which was served piping hot and nicely plated. Our server made sure the water glasses never emptied, and the chips and salsa were bottomless. A smooth, red salsa and chunky green salsa were both delicious and kept coming throughout the meal. We had a very pleasant dining experience.

great atmosphere, amazing food, we enjoy going with friends and family. Great service! We've been going here since they opened, and i don't think anything on the menu has not been excellent! With the exception of the quagamole, its good, I just don't like chunks of onion in mine. So, I don't order that. =) They do have a few items on the menu that is American food if you really don't want to partake in Mexican, but want to be with your family and friends that do. =)Thank you for the great review! We love to hear you enjoy it all! Please visit us with your friends and family again soon!

I love Nom Noms. They have so many tasty toppings to choose from for your burrito/bowl/tacos...etc. (I love the steak bowl the most.) They also have a big selection of fresh, homemade ice cream and bars which taste great as well.My only complaint would be that it’s pretty small and constantly packed which means there’s nowhere to sit. The line is always long so keep that in mind if you think you’re just going to run in and grab food real quick during peak hours. Obviously that says a lot about how many people love this place, and in their defense, the employees work very fast to keep the line moving. I just wish they had more seating because you feel like a sardine between the line and tight space inside. The good news is, there are separate lines for food versus ice cream. (This also means you have to get in line twice if you want both.)

Long years of experience has allowed Arturo Ibarra to own and operate this exquisite Mexican restaurant, which offers a wide variety of delicious Mexican and Tex Mex dishes in the Mckinney area

Reviewed By Elvie66

This restaurant has been around for many years (25+), so we were excited to try it recently. With so many Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants, from restaurant chains to popular, trendy restaurants, it was refreshing to walk in to a small and quiet restaurant, be seated right away, and experience great service with personal attention.David was an excellent and attentive server. We tried the tacos, which came with rice and beans. The beef was good(ground); the chicken taco is the 'pulled' type of chicken, not chunks of chicken as in some restaurants. The shells were a bit hard and chewy (not as crisp as usual) but the chips were excellent! As was the salsa. I would recommend the margaritas, which were better than most. Save room for dessert: the Tres Leches cake is creamy and delicious!

Went here per trip advisor for high rating. Chips and salsa were fresh and tasty. Everything beyond that was mediocre at best. The margaritas were meh. My husband and I shared the combination fajitas. The tortillas appeared handmade and were good. Nothing on the fajita pan was “sizzling”. The meat was warm(ish) and the onions and peppers were undercooked. Beans and rice and other accoutrements were forgettable. The service, however, was impeccably courteous and that’s the only reason the stars are 3 not 2.
