this place has el paso sonoran-style foods. pig feet, chicharones, tacos, chile relleno. Numerous great sauces and salsa. No sour cream. No black olives. Over a hundred bright pinatas on the ceiling and bright music. you can buy marinated thin steaks to grill at home. Great vegetable and meat selection.

The other is Luis's Taqueria in Woodburn https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g52147-d1166742-Reviews-Luis_s_Taqueria-Woodburn_Oregon.htmlSuper taco Ochoa's has HUGE portions and everything that we have tried has been excellent. Tacos (asada, pastor, tripa, lengua, pollo, chorizo & my favorite... carnitas! Torta Cubana with every meat you can imagine. Torta Hawaiana is excellent as well. The order of gorditas (3) are another good choice! You can't go wrong with their burritos (also huge)! As you walk in, you walk past their grill which is outside where you can see and smell what will soon be on your plate!

Upon entering the restaurant for a mid-week dinner, we were pleasantly greeted and seated right away. All the staff who helped us were friendly and efficient. One turn-off was dirty/greasy drink and dessert menus that were tucked against the wall and stay at each table. They are laminated so a frequent swipe with a bleach-water towel would keep them clean and sanitary. The meal menus were brought to the table as we were seated, and were just as clean as I'd expect - great!! The complimentary chips and salsa were a partial victory. The chips were cold and not super-crisp (lots of restaurants heat them = crispy chips) but the salsa was delicious. Our meals arrived quickly and the portions were generous. The flavor of the food was good, but not memorable. We'll probably go there again as it is really close to where we're staying and there is great value for your dollar. The highlight of the evening was how we were treated so graciously by each and every staff member.

When you first drive up you are thinking, we have not found the right place. Inside the decor is to say the least, funky. A seemingly converted gas station in a small town off Hwy 26, North Plains is just North of Hillsboro, home of Silicon Forrest. You will stand in line to order, stretching your neck to see the menu. The prices are such you will think, not much food for this low amount. When you look at those sitting and eating with plates piled high you may ask, "What did you order? The answers will be varied but the quantity is always large.Better than the large quantity it is so tasty. The Burritos and Enchilada's are great. My least favorite, though very good is the Torta. It is a sandwich and though well seasoned and very good, no so Mexican that I want when I go there.Family friendly, great spot for a funky night out.

One of the best Mexican restaurants around. Good service. The server offered me a sample taste of the soup to help me decide. It was wonderful! I also had the Cochinita Pibil in a different occasion and it was amazing. The portion are big enough to share.

This place has the crunchy chili rellenos I've been looking for for decades, when I had my first in Denver. They were perfect. Very clean, cheerful, art-filled, attentive service. Good strong drinks, too! I had a cactus margarita. Out of the way for us Portlanders, but I will find excuses to go back. Haven't found as good a Mexican place in Portland yet (living here since 1970's).

This place is a favorite. I eat here a couple of times a month. The service is outstanding, and friendly. A great little âhole in the wallâ family friendly place to eat. The food is authentic, happy hour every day 3-6 which is not restricted to the cantina. And a super great little patio when itâs sunny.

This place came highly recommended by the people we visited. The staff were very friendly and seated us promptly. Get the mole burrito! It is HIGE, so be sure and bring your appetite. I thought the prices were reasonable too. Perfect location also in downtown Hillsboro.
