I have eaten here several times, the food is good and they serve large portions of fries, onion rings & fried Zucchini. They offer a nice variety of items on the menu including breakfast selections. The food is cooked to order and served at the correct temperatures. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Awesome food!Hubster and I ordered 2 steak tacos, 2 shrimp tacos, 2 fish tacos, a shrimp cocktail (there must have been 20 shrimp inside!!!), a large sprite, and a michelada. It was about $35 total. ***Everything was delicious!***Very very filling. I barely finished half of the michelada. We brought home two of the tacos and half of the shrimp cocktail. I think this building used to be a gas station! It's a very small place (about a dozen tables) and there is limited parking. There were some cars waiting in the parking area for their to-go orders. Be patient. Everything is made fresh when ordered. It is well worth the wait!

Went there for lunch and ordered my regular items. I always order my food without lettuce, and this location always gets the order right. Also, the soda coming from the fountain was mixed correctly. It was a bit hot here the day I went, and I feel sorry for the workers who had to put up with an AC not working, but they opened the door when I said it was hot.

Our service was too slow. The food was good when it arrived. I was lunchtime. We had a lot of things to talk about and didnât mind the wait at first. Husband got his side salad in good time. We werenât in a hurry, he got a second drink right away. Then they forgot about us. It took over an hour and 1/2. We left at 1:30. I wonât be going there anytime soon. By the time we got our waiters attention, food came out right away then the manager came by... I should have told him I was disgusted, but I didnât. We were getting attention now but it was too little too late. I shouldnât have to ask for a discount, or free desserts they should have just offered it to us. The food is pretty much what you would expect from a SoCal Mexican restaurant: combo plates, tostadas, tacos, burritos, flautas. The salsa is good. For those of us who eat Mexican several times a week, this is a nice option.

While in Chino Hills for a business meeting we had a couple hours before the meeting started. We wanted a nice place for lunch. This place was recommended by the hotel, and it was fantastic. Food was delicious and nice variety. Would definitely eat here again.

Went here in the recommendation of someone local. Looks like a dump from the outside but the food was very good. Had the Asada Enchiladas with rice and beans. Cones with soup or salad which could be left out as he soup want anything special. Guacamole was good but kind of small portion. Children enjoyed their meal and had a generous portion. Service was average but about what you would expect for a generic Mexican joint. Wet burritos looked amazing and will try one of those next time.

Really great Mexican food. The service was excellent. We really enjoyed our over flowing margaritas - thanks for the extra shot! Our meals were served quickly and hot. I ordered a steak plate with delicious refried beans and other sides. Next time I'll try the seafood.

I am sorry that we had never discovered this restaurant before now!!! We have lived in Chino for almost 40 years and had never eaten here before. The food is VERY GOOD!!! LOVED LOVED LOVED the tamales, the Margaritas, the light piano music and singer. It was a JOY with our Lovely Waitress Lupita! We have already been back several times and will continue to enjoy the ambiance and food at Los Portales! Our children knew all about it!
