Right in the main area of North Beach, this restaurant is a very short walk from the pier. There is indoor and outdoor seating (dogs are welcomed outside). The menu has options for everyone and the food itself was very good. The portions were perfect and reasonable prices. The wait staff was pleasant and courteous.

Plaza Mexico is a great place to meet friends and have a satisfying meal. The portions usually are enough for a second meal, considering the fact that I thoroughly enjoy the chips and salsa. Our non-adventurous friends always find something on the menu because it is immense and does offer American options. Our favorite meals are carnitas (delicious pork without any sauce, crispy and flavorful) and chori pollo (Mexican sausage, cheese, and chicken with vegetables.)
