This trail provides an excellent opportunity for everyone to get out and strech your legs while enjoying the natural beauty of Fishing Creek. The trail is primarily boardwalk through the marsh, which allows you to see working crab boats and fishing charters as well as osprey nests and shore birds. The trail splits after approximately 1/2 mile and if you go left you walk into a forest along an old rail corridor. The trail ends on a bridge spanning the creek, but you can see that the abandoned rail corridor continues just waiting for the next segment of trail to be developed.

Calvert Kettle Corn is one of the big reasons I look forward to the coming of spring. The smell of the fresh popped kettle corn is one of the best parts of the beach and Calvert Kettle Corn makes some of the best I have ever had.

Scorpion Brewing is a microbrewery located in beautiful Calvert County, Southern Maryland. We pride ourselves on producing beer made with local ingredients. Our emphasis is on quality, flavor and brewing technique. We are open for Tastings, Tours and Growler Fills: Thursdays-Sundays. All major credit cards accepted.
Went with daughter and son-in-law who live close and enjoy this place. Fond it to be much like the craft brewery we visit in our hometown. The place is simple with limited seating, it is the staff and the friendliness that make the experience great.
The variety of beers are adequate, some on tap all the time, some in rotation and trial. I understand when they have a new beer, they ask for patrons to rate it, using that to determine whether it returns and/or how often.
Personally I found the beers to not be much to my taste but that has to do with my preferences, not the quality of the offerings. They offer flights of 6 so we could try them all, Great way to start. I liked the Treaty of Ghent, which points to creativity in using names unquie to the area.
They had a local group playing music to add to the experience. Do have outside seating.
Do visit, it is inviting and enjoyable

You are one of many fishing charters to choose from so in order for us to want to use you again or refer our friends and family to use you, you have to pretend for 5 hours to welcome us on board and enjoy our company. By not showing us any warmth or hospitality, we feel like you resented us being there. We don't have to be best friends by the end of the trip, but a little engagement goes a long way. Or show off your expertise and knowledge by sharing a story or two of past trips. Everyone likes the story of the biggest catch or the one that got away. Keep an album on board to show off. Your first mate worked really hard to make sure we caught rockfish and his personality only came out when a woman engaged him in conversation at the very end when he cleaned all the fish.
My boyfriend loves charter fishing so we're always looking at all our choices every year ...

Welcome to Katherine Charter Fishing , we are a locally owned family business specializing is fun times had by all. WE pride ourselves on a fun friendly atmosphere and a boat so clean even a surgeon couldn't find a spec of dirt. Primarily a charter fishing boat we also do dinner and sight seeing cruises. Our species for fishing include striped bass spot perch croaker bluefish Spanish mackerel
For future trips on the Chesapeake - I won't accept anything else but with Katherine's. Exceeded expectations. Professional from booking to end of trip. Brothers Sam and George complement each other perfectly. Their fishing knowledge together - impressive to see at work and awe-inspiring. Their father should be proud of what he passed on! Fun - guaranteed - catered to a 11 year old who can now pull a catch into the boat with his bare hands and de-hook a fish; and turned a rookie 9 year old who went from afraid to get on the boat to pleading to go back on another trip. I can't wait to go on another trip. Hope they're not booked up enough so that they can fit me in! Thanks guys!

If you are spending any time in North Beach, MD, and especially if you have an interest in what this area was like when it was the closest beach to Washington and Baltimore, the exhibits will draw you back to a time when steamboats and trains discharged visitors here (and in Chesapeake Beach). Scouts will find the exhibit on Camp Roosevelt interesting. Great pictures and nicely designed exhibits (and a pleasant staff) make it a worthwhile stop.

Great fun going paddle boarding in Deale! Nice boards, reasonable price, clear instructions, lovely paddle up Rockhold Creek (with a bonus of getting some exercise!). Nice way to spend an afternoon. We'll go back with family later this summer for paddle boards or they have kayaks too... I haven't tried one of Andrea's classes yet, but it's on my list! I highly recommend Chesapeake Paddle Sports.

My husband and I went to The Sailing Academy for our anniversary weekend. WE went to rest and sit by the water and reconnect. It was a wonderful setting. Captain Jeff Bowen took us out for a sunset cruise and taught us the "how to's" of sailing. It was a wonderful night! The marina has a pool area, restaurant, plenty of picnic tables and grills, and the bathrooms are all updated and just like home. I would recommend a visit! If you have a desire to sail, Captain Jeff's whole family (it is family run) can help you! They provide classes and camps all season long. Great for team building! Loved it!

A turn-of-the-century railway museum featuring photos and other related memorabilia.
Close to the bay for views, could be difficult for parking, an easy walk to nearby restaurants and stores. A good variety of the mentioned necessary shopping facilities.
