Located on a lovely street a short distance from the waterfront, this unassuming establishment does not truly live up to it's very high ratings. The welcome and service is barely friendly. The decor is nothing to write home about. The assortment of grilled tuna was excellent but the chicken was average and the accompaniments (fries and vegetables) were meagre. Prices are above average which is unusual in Spain. This is not a place I would go back to but it was fine for a first restaurant in Tarifa.I'm sorry it was not to your liking to give us another chance the price is very economical 400 grams of a tasting of red tuna 35 â¬. Thanks you .

La Casona, near our hotel, was the only worthwhile thing in Tarifa. We had very a good dinner there -- grilled calamari, sole, and a Muga blanco 2016. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the service was very good, also.

The beat dinner in Tarifa! We have visited Tarifa 3 times and have tried many restaurabts - this is definitely a fav! We tried black rice with calamari & shrimp and chicken tapas - both were amazing! Just absolutely delicious, very fresh, well cooked, served at great temperatire and simply amazing ;) The resto is located in a cool square with life performance of great street musicians, right in the centre of the cityDef recommend!

In one of the quietest squares of Tarifa, with a young and dynamic team, a quiet atmosphere, an open bar and a modern and welcoming dining room. In short, a surprising and very tasty cuisine, 100% recommended.

For whatever reason no tuna was available and that makes up maybe 1/3 of the entrees so that was disappointing. On the other hand the food was quite good and the family enjoyed their entrees. While not amazing, it's a step up from most places in town.

We have been traveling from Italy to Portugal and now to Spain. We ate the prawns, tuna toast and hamburger and they were all delicious. The owner was friendly and had great suggestions for what to eat. Stop here for a light dinner in Tarifa!

Fab service and food. Tuna steak dish divine and even the chicken goujons for the kids were juicy and moist. Canât wait to return. Nice IPA craft beer Duos Marinas(?) from down the road also.

My favourite Fiance and I loved this restaurant! The vibe was fun on the Saturday night we visited thanks to the DJ playing some cool tunes perfect for the setting. The decor and interior is well thought out mixing old exposed brick walls with some cool furniture. The food was amazing as was the host Sergio who was very accommodating and made a special space for us even though we had no reservation. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. We decided to share 4 different starters....One course after another was truly delicious the flavours were extraordinary. Whichever dish we had was full of flavour. The Cauliflower Croquettes are to die for! So much so we went back again the following night. We were also delighted with the butterfish, lamb salad and grilled vegetables.....Iâve been coming to tarifa regularly for years and I have to say this is my new favourite restaurant in town!

Simply the best restaurant in Tarifa, a creative and tasty original menu, also gluten free. Thanks to the great staff of Raizes , two days ago we had the best dinner in our holiday! The Italian Family ( we tried to order everything!!!)

Everything we tried here was delicious. Mini burger, chicken wings, empanadas for starters...delicious.Sirloin steak for main course...perfectly seasoned and cooked, unreal chips with it and nicely seasoned salad.Friendly service and nice atmosphere in there.
