The pristine white beaches of Tarifa are just as majestic as the 800-year-old castle that stands proudly in this southern Spanish town. Windsurfing or kitesurfing is an absolute must, and the sea sparkles with the promise of bustling marine life—perfect for enthusiastic scuba divers. At night, Tarifa itself sparkles with bars, nightclubs and tapas bars galore.

One of the most charismatic cafes in Tarifa. Cafe Azul has been established for over 15 years and has a dedicaded following of loyal clients You can enjoy healthy and beautifully prepared food from a wide selection within the menu Among the speciallities on offer are fabulous sweet and savoury crepes and deliciouse milk shakes and geniune italian coffee The speciallity of the house are the fruit salads presented quite literally as works of art We serve gluten-free bread and vegetable milk We are very close to the Puerta de Jerez (next to the bank BBVA)
We are that annoying fussy couple who are very particular about food and service and this is not a place that proactively asks you to put a nice review on Trip advisor, I just felt compelled.
We went here for breakfast on day one.....and every day afterwards. You get fast, friendly service delivering amazing simple fresh food at very affordable prices. Would recommend the croissant and bocadilla, (great Spanish Sandwich, last page on the menu) made with perfectly crisp bread (not so hard that it extracts your teeth!) and fresh ingredients. Keep it up cafe Azul, this is how to do it!

Chilimosa is a vegetarian take-away / tapas style bar, dedicated to tantalising taste buds, satisfying ethical eaters and surprising carnivores! It is small, atmospheric and full of flavour! We provide great quality at reasonable prices - almost everything is homemade and with the most natural and tasty ingredients around. Many of our ingredients are organic. The result is fantastic, filling, healthy food that's cheap enough to come back and try something new every day! We also bake all our own desserts which can be enjoyed at any time and offer a range of vegan and wheat free dishes as well as teas, organic refreshments and alcoholic beverages. We open at lunch time and in the evenings every day (with the odd exception . . ) We look forward to tantalising your taste-buds
This tiny restaurant is just brilliant. The menu is short and simple, and the food is just delicious. We sat near the kitchen and watched the food being prepared, which was an added delight in itself. It's very laid back, as you'd expect in Tarifa, so if you want to go with no shoes on that's fine. Just wished we'd stayed in Tarifa long enough to go back again.

Surla is a small coffee-restaurant located close to the sea, out to the old town, in the new, "less-touristic" part of Tarifa. We are open every day from 9.00 am, servig tasty and fresh home-made food: we switch our menu three times in a day, so you can enjoy our place for breakfast, lunch, afternoon break (coffe, fresh juices, selection of theas, drinks and home made cakes) till the Sushi (only available for dinner). We take care about our customers with a friendly service, cozy and relaxed atmosphere. Great vibe to just chill and surf the net or engage in some interesting conversation with the locals.
This place is hidden gem. It's always full and it's very popular especially among the tourists. They have nice variety of gluten free and vegetarian dishes and are able to accommodate you also if you have any food intolerance or allergy. Of course all this bio/eco/local stuff comes with a price so ordinary breakfast will cost you over 10 euros ( if you take a toast, coffee and juice). However portions are big and service friendly. It's definitely worth to visit if you are around.

We had dinner here tonight. We discovered a gem, a little tapas place run by Italians that know what and how to do it! The service was great, the guys are friendly relaxed and professional. The food is AMAZING! And cheap:) the guanciale is delicious! Good atmosphere and music!
Recommend to everybody coming to Tarifa!!!

Super- fresh food served by unusually attentive and friendly waiters. Clearly popular and buzzing with locals and all tables reserved but as we were early we got in. Lovely lunch included fresh boquerones, mackerel & pepper salad and fresh artichokes grilled with garlic.

Came here with two kids and a friend. We had tuna, grilled king prawns and octopus. The kids ate tuna burgers and grilled chicken skewers. All was delicious and every dish was prepared with a nice, original touch. Plus, the staff was very friendly and nice to the kids. I don't come to Tarifa often but next time I come, I will definitely return here. Strongly recommended.

A good friend recommended this restaurant. We were extremely impressed with the tuna selection. So much so that we decided to order it again. The croquetas de choco are excellent. Very friendly staff and the owner is a great host. We will definitely go back.

Great place, I came here for a family dinner. It was wonderful and the staff really know how to take care of you! Most amazing Sopa de Mariscos!

Tried here based on the rating received, the food was tasty enough, though nothing exceptional. The Lamb Leg 'Lechal' was not as tender and melt in the mouth as it should have been, home made croquetas and asparagus were good but the overall experience was what you would expect from any average Asador in Spain. Not the most romantic location in Tarifa either.

We visited La Casona while vacationing in Tarifa. Excellent experience. Great food, great service. Whatever you might have for dinner ... save room for the Gin & Tonic Cake. It's kind'a like a cross between a lemon meringue pie and a cheesecake with the "gin nd tonic" in a aspic layer on top.
