QB Restobar

We had a late lunch here. Not understanding the menu, we shared a chicken Caesar salad, my husband got a beef burger and I got a chicken burger. The portions were large. We could have shared a burger. The Portuguese roll was great. The interior is nice and it has a good vibe. The only negative was that the servers acted as if they were only tolerating us (we are traveling from the states and know very little Portuguese) and we're not friendly in comparison to other places we have been on this trip.

Villa Lausana

A unique experience of singularity and exclusivity, accessible to everyone. Appetizers and specialties inspired on the rich and flavourful Portuguese gastronomy. A special Portuguese wine selection, cocktails and many other surprises.

The folks at Villa Lausana were terrific. Very friendly and welcoming...which is always important, however, the most important part was the food! Great quality and beautifully prepared. We had the "Dorada" fish with veggies and chestnuts....wow!!! what a unique and different combo of favors and textures. A truly excellent experience! If you are in Lousa....check them out!

A Estrela da Mo

Being a picky eater, the restaurant recommended by our hosts at Casa Na Serras was a real find. This was the most delicious, tasty dinner in our two month trip in Europe and definitely our best in Portugal. It is worth going out of your way. They were willing to work with me on vegetarian options, but in the end gave up the vegetarian stance and had the pork tenderloin. The best. Well seasoned and delicious. Parking is a bit tight.

Casa Velha

Placed in a boring town square in a cafeteria ambience with TVs running in the background and lovely social inclusive serving, we had the most delicious lunch. The servings are full doses for 3 at around 15€, the wine list is truly fabulous and very reasonably priced (maybe more Rosés though) and the noise levels are not too bad.Unfortunately the calf tongue was unavailable so we had the most tasty fresh cod filets with clam tomato rice and a pork pernil, which was just the most tender and tasty EVER. We chose a Douro white Exlibris Baco 2015 for the steal of €13, which was absolutely fabulous with both plates.Fruits and chocolate mousse for dessert and excellently served coffee, made our day.We will be back!

O Burgo

Lovely food and excellent wine in busy, atmospheric restaurant. Our only criticism was that all the delicious food was served on cold plates and so the food did not retain its heat. Owner/manager please ensure that your serving dishes are hot and that plates are at least warm! !!

Ti Lena

Reviewed By doctorbobster

In Talasnal for the night, we dropped in on Ti Lena, pretty much the only restaurant in this amazing Schist Village and were given the last two seats in the cozy dining room. Here is why we were lucky.Ti Lena is operated by two hard-working women. They shop, they prepare, the cook, they serve and the clean-up. What they will serve is local, home-made (of course) and served family style. We had young goat with side dishes of potatoes with chestnuts and a rice dish prepared with some type of minced organ meat. This was our first goat-experience and it was unique, savory and tasty. The potatoes with chestnuts were flavored with garlic and, alone would have been sufficient. The rice dish was also flavorful and satisfying. A local red wine was served in a small ceramic carafe and was plenty for the two of us. We passed on the salad and dessert. The service was efficient and gracious. In addition, the dinner was a great value at 36€ for the two of us.Come dinner time, your options in Talasnal are limited. Fortunately, you have an excellent one. But, don't plan on finding a seat unless you have made reservations.
