We booked a couple of activities at the travel Services next door, when we finally decided to try HGT for lunch. We had exhausted many of the food options around Alona (since Filipino food is fairly predictable), and thought âGreek in the Philippines..letâs give it a goâ.It was a pleasant surprise. Although having no lamb gyro, but rather a pork one, was (understandably) odd. So we opted with Chicken. Itâs on the menu as âSpicy Chicken Wrapâ.My Greek Australian friends back home had a great laugh with me...as a Filipino Australian, eating Greek food, in Panglao Island Bohol! Especially given the fact that I didnât even eat a gyro in Santorini, nor pork adobo for that matter lol.Value; service; and quality of food was good. The view from upstairs is also great. Oh..the toilet was ânot availableâ..

Overall a pretty average place. Just a short walk from Alona Beach, so not on the water. It was a little warm as it is open air and although there were a few ceiling fans they were not doing much. We had pizza and pasta. Pizza had way too much cheese and not much in the way of sauce and a very thin crust. Rustica pasta was pretty good but not great. Service was good with no problems. There was just nothing that left us impressed. There are better choices in Alona beach for Italian.

Pros:1. Restaurant had great ambiance2. Food was really tasty. We had the Paella Negra and Valenciana which both tasted good3. Servers were attentiveCons:Servings were fairly small and choices were limited. We had 3 orders of Chopitos for 6 people.

The food is okey. The staff are very accommodating The view is amazing. But the price is a bit much. I'd go back again because the hike down is a bit much. Just come for the view.

This I a nice restaurant on the way to Alona Beach. About 10 min walk from Mc Donaldâs (city center). Good service and excellent food. We ordered pizza, pasta and lasagna. Everything was very tasty. Pricy according Filipino prices, low accordingly to European prices. Well worth the money and time!

We all had different dishes and they were very good. The food is very rich and flavourful, service excellent and attentive, and prices reasonable. The surroundings are also pretty. The only negative was the red wine, which is served chilled and only gets to room temperature when youâre paying your bills!

Bohol never stops amazing me! The simple and "bare necessities" living of the kind-hearted folks is quietly being infused with rustic chic by foreigners who gladly stay and call Bohol "home". Bougainvillea Spanish Restau & Wine Bar is a small rustic Filipino 2 storey house turned into Spanish cuisine destination in Dauis, Panglao. There, first time I tasted seafood paella so fresh I barely appreciated the saffron and spices. "Decirlo otra vez?"The wine selection, the Jamon Serrano, and the Queso Manchego are legit!Give yourself a treat, por favor!
