A great Resort for Family or Solo Travellers
Reviewed By livefrommanilaThe Henann Resort Alona Beach still is the place to go if you go to Panglao. The Staff is amazing, the Pool Villas are great with the private plunge pools and our son loved it. The beach is public so expect some crowds on weekend but overall it is still well maintained and relatively clean. As far as food goes, the Buffet at the Sea Breeze Cafe is great value for money and Christina's surely is a great place to dine as well. The Breakfast Buffet at Coral is all right and serves it's purpose but not always complete (no Bacon for example). Personally the only thing I could say was not really perfect. The various pools are great and well maintained as well. The whole property is well maintained and kept clean. Overall, can only recommend it. Will be visiting again.

Bliss on Panglao
Reviewed By traveler63123This place has set the bar when traveling to the Panglao. When it comes to service, these wonderful folks have surpassed others with ease. I have never had so many smiling faces, that bend over backwards, to make your stay here special. Great job ! The beach here is wonderful for all ages, especially kids, where the clear waters and minimal waves provide a gentle bathtub to play in. The sunsets are awesome also. As for the hotel, the rooms, balconies, and facilities are all 5 star, at half the rate of other high end resorts. A new shopping center with plenty of shops and restaurants is directly connected to this resort. Plenty of free options at the beach, such as kayaks, paddle boards, and giant floating mats add to the fun. I can't wait to return. Special kudos to Maita, Errol and Reggie at the front office. Juvy and Clark at the morning breakfast were among the standouts. SALAMAT !! :-)

A dissapointing stay.
Reviewed By travelrebelsOur second time booking here since the first one was unforgettable in a good way. Sad to say this second time will be our last time after all we have experienced. Pros: We loved Amorita we shared and recommend to our friends how exclusive and relaxing this place is and always will be . Our bad experinces: Chek in - We waited 2h after check in time to get to our room since it was not yet ready. Before, they give you a Tour around the whole resort to know the facilities and where tos. Unfortunately that did not happen this time. After the welcome drink we were informed about bfast time Buffet and asked to give our personal infos and our departure infos. Hold on we just arrive and you want to know already when we are leaving? Instead of asking our departure you could have check that we get information as to what amenities we can enjoy during our stay since we never had any of this infos in our room . Rooms - in our 5 days of stay I never NOT heard the loud noises of people running and going around the second floor. it was like hearing some construction worker when people go up and down the stairs. We were not warned by this ,needless to say you can keep a sign on the stair way to walk normally up and down . Might as well have your Stair maintained or checked. Room Cleaning bombarded the Toilet with Chlorine for cleaning and there was no air vent in this small room it was a horror doing your thing inside. The smell actually got worst on our last day of stay. Water on the Floor , from AC or leaking ? No idea how water went into the floor overnight when the room was closed and we were sleeping. Last but not the least Breakfast buffet - in our 5 days of stay we only have 1 decent and relaxing breakfast in Amorita, only when we woked up ealier to have it at 7am.Otherwise forget a quiet relaxing breakfast! If you are lucky to find a clean table ready otherwise you have to wait untill someone notice you and initiate to clean and prepare your table. Worst case you eat without utensils since the table is not ready and you have already gone get your food before everything. The Horror is also you eat without Water or Coffee since nobody cares to bring or ask you for coffee. Bottom line , please Management delegate your workers what to do or have the initiative to check on your guest needs. Amorita has lost its Amor to us and we hope Management will bring it back again.

They are very comfortable, quiet and bright. The décor inside the resort is very nice. The details are originally selected: style and design are by a famous Italian architect. The swimming pool has an area of 60 square meters in marble dust and a special design with curved and soft lines and different depth suitable for children and anyone who like just floating and lazing in the pool, or alternatively you can take a dip or a swim too!The leisure area has a cool feeling with a very nice ambience: you can relax in the shade of the palm and bougainvillea garden, or have a drink in the recreation area The bar offers many vanilla- flavored specialties like the famous Italian panna cotta, crepes with chocolate or vanilla, refreshing milkshake and inviting muffins with assorted flavored sauce.

We had the privilege to be hosted in one of their suit room , a peaceful area where resting is a key! Pool, great restaurant , topnotsch customer service , smiling and warm welcoming staff .. there ain’t big challenge enough for this team. Massage also can be done in your room ;) snorkeling , scuba dive and so on. You guessed it , this is the place to go to once you are in Bohol! Cheers to the staff and the Italian owner !

Lockdown in Paradise
Reviewed By 185carissacLocation: Our flight was cancelled because of the lockdown and we were stranded in Bohol. Initially we were staying in Loboc because we thought that it is a good base since we wanted to go to the waterfalls and further places like Anda. We were used to driving for 30mins to an hour just to eat in a restaurant or get some cash in the atm. Amihan is in a very convenient location (in the middle of everything). It is near alona beach, diving spots and resorts, restaurants, 7-11, and banks. I saw a review saying that the roads are rough here but it shouldn’t be a problem. We rented a vios car during our stay and we were fine. It is a very little rough road when you turn from the main highway which is usual in Bohol. We have been to roads that are rougher and longer (like in Anda and Candijay) and I assure you it’s not that rough and it is very short. Rooms and Internet Due to the pandemic they had to lower the prices so they can pay their staff. We were lucky to avail these rates especially we were stranded and we weren’t sure when the flights back to manila are going to resume. For the price I paid I didn’t expect much and I’m even willing to clean my own room for it. When we entered the room it was beyond my expectations. It was very spacious and even bigger than our direct pool access premium room in Henann. You also have a terrace in your room where you can hang your bathing suits to dry and it is a perfect hangout place where you can drink and snack because you get a view of the pool. The bathroom is huge too. The bed is very big and the sheets feels luxurious. I had zoom meetings and the internet is stable. There was a power shutdown during one of my meetings but the resort has a generator or something because I was able to go back to my meeting in no time. This resort is perfect if you want to stay longer in panglao to dive because it is very budget friendly. During our stay we got our freediving certification so we will drive early morning to go to the dive resort and come back in the afternoon to attend to our meetings. This is also perfect if you want to escape the lockdown in Manila or in your city and have that island life. Because we were so busy I forgot to take pictures but what you see online is exactly what you will get. The rooms are new and modern. I only took one video of the room so I can show my friends so I’m attaching some screenshots from that clip. This hotel is excellent and I recommend it to my family and friends. Facilities: Resort is well maintained. Pool is always clean, there are other entertainment like billiards as well. They have a bar. There are also a lot of sun loungers and umbrellas. They also have a jacuzzi and you are allowed to bring your own food.

almost perfect despite location
Reviewed By Eddy_Awan_Nanohad a wonderful 4 nights stay with them. booked the deluxe apartment which was very spacious. 2 floors with 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms. spotless clean and everything in the villa is very well maintained. our room was make up everyday even without asking. the staffs are always ready and eager to serve your needs. just book any tours with them and trust me it's rather cheaper than else where. probably they don't take any commission, also the staffs I find them reluctant to receive any tips. location of the resort is just 10mins walk away from the Alona Beach full of bars and restaurants. FYI they provide complimentary airport transfer too.

Everything is first clas & surprisingly affordable. Everything is provide with 2 swimming poolings,24 hor security,great restaurant & a beautiful well cared landscape. A personal room phone is provided for all your needs, water, room service or laundry.

Less than satisfactory
Reviewed By 591niklIt is a budget accommodation, but at my opinion the quality of this hotel is less than average compared to similar accommodations. Positive: The garden and the pool is actually nice and beautiful. Negative: The room i slept in does need an upgrade. Its was run down and looked very old. Poor wifi not working properly in the room. To use the wifi I had to go outside. Breakfast quality is also less than average quality. The location is a bit far away from Alona Beach, but I was aware of that while making the booking. It is possible walking to the beach, but a moto is much more comfortable in the hot climate. I would not stay here again.
