Vanilla Sky Resort is a charming, newly -open Italian style hotel in Panglao, in a quiet green area at walkable distance from Alona beach (400 meters).A big and suitable pool with cascade in a beautifull tropical garden gives you the pleasure of a lovely refreshment in the warm and fair weather of this tropical island.Vanilla Sky Resort has an assorted choice of accommodations, spread over the three- storey building: family, standard rooms, and apartments. 3 standard rooms pool view twin bed, 3 standard rooms pool view double bed, 3 family lofts (4 adults) 2 Apartments (separated living room, 3 adults)They are all southwest oriented, in a very green location, overlooking the swimming pool, the garden and leisure area of the resort. They are very comfortable, quiet and bright. The décor inside the resort is very nice. The details are originally selected: style and design are by a famous Italian architect. The swimming pool has an area of 60 square meters in marble dust and a special design with curved and soft lines and different depth suitable for children and anyone who like just floating and lazing in the pool, or alternatively you can take a dip or a swim too!The leisure area has a cool feeling with a very nice ambience: you can relax in the shade of the palm and bougainvillea garden, or have a drink in the recreation area The bar offers many vanilla- flavored specialties like the famous Italian panna cotta, crepes with chocolate or vanilla, refreshing milkshake and inviting muffins with assorted flavored sauce.

We had the privilege to be hosted in one of their suit room , a peaceful area where resting is a key! Pool, great restaurant , topnotsch customer service , smiling and warm welcoming staff .. there ain’t big challenge enough for this team. Massage also can be done in your room ;) snorkeling , scuba dive and so on. You guessed it , this is the place to go to once you are in Bohol! Cheers to the staff and the Italian owner !

Less than satisfactory
Reviewed By 591niklIt is a budget accommodation, but at my opinion the quality of this hotel is less than average compared to similar accommodations. Positive: The garden and the pool is actually nice and beautiful. Negative: The room i slept in does need an upgrade. Its was run down and looked very old. Poor wifi not working properly in the room. To use the wifi I had to go outside. Breakfast quality is also less than average quality. The location is a bit far away from Alona Beach, but I was aware of that while making the booking. It is possible walking to the beach, but a moto is much more comfortable in the hot climate. I would not stay here again.

Rooms are spotless and modern, you feel as though you're the first person to have ever used them. Nice pool and only 10 mins from all the action in Alona beach. Also some great restaurants very close by. Well done guys, impressive.

Reviewed By devilcoachMayfair room 1 to 6 is newly renovated with modern interior design and very convenience built at the ground. 10 mins walk to center of the restaurant districts. But if you expecting to have quiet vocation in Bohol please be reminded there is singing performing stand very nearby whose sing until from sunset to mid night.

My watch was stolen from the room
Reviewed By trip-chick-munichI stayed here for 2 nights while on a dive safari, so had not personally chosen this place to stay. The safe did not work. I forgot to take my watch with me while out during the day. When we got to next location I realised my watch was missing and had been taken from my wash bag. On top of that the place stinks of mould so it’s probably really unhealthy to stay. It’s really close to an extremely loud live music bar, so it’s also very very noisy. I cannot recommend strongly enough to avoid this place like hell.

We were pampered in ecru single way: help to where-to-go and what-to-do, good breakfasts, kind advice of any kind. Even the dog was looking after us walking us out and in as we came and went :-). Oh, and very good scooters to rent too (brand new = much safer). Very convenient location too so it made tours and other activities super easy. Thanks lovely people! We’ll be back soon unless you first come to Barcelona!

Reviewed By Veronica SThe staff were so very helpful and friendly! Sorted our motorbike out for us, and helped get a tuk tuk when needed as well. Close to Alona Beach (walkable), but quieter. Pool was nice! Breakfast was simple, but staff went out of their way to adjust or accomodate peoples' preferences. Rooms were big but definitely feel that it's a budget place as the interior is not overly luxurious by any means. Bed is comfortable. For the price, location, and staff, would stay again!

WORST HOTEL - DONT STAY HERE
Reviewed By Charlotte GI have travelled to several different countries and stayed in numerous hotels including 4 others in the Philippines and this is without a doubt the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. There is no hot water, it’s next to a construction site, it’s out of the centre and the pool in unclean. Worst of all the customer service is horrendous, upon check out we were charged 300 PHP to extend check out for 1 hour, for a hotel that is highly priced for location/area I was shocked by this however proceeded with the service. When we handed the room keys to reception they showed us a towel which was stained, that they stated was from our room and tried to charge us 1000 PHP for. We had just walked from our room where we had left our towels and therefore this towel couldn’t have been from our room. When we refused to pay for the following reasons: 1) no proof it was a towel from our room. 2) the price was extortionate 1000 php = £16. They then presented another towel which again they said was from our room, again there was no proof of this and secondly no stains were apparent. The hotel persisted with this dispute and would not let us leave, in the end we had to give them the last of our money to enable us to leave the hotel in time to travel to the airport to get our flight. The wife’s owner was present throughout the dispute and was very rude and unhelpful, she refused to attempt to communicate with us or give us any eye contact. Instead she gave orders to her staff via texts. Overall, the worst experience I have ever had and i would strongly advise you book alternative accommodation in Panglao, there lots of options that will likely provide your with a better stay and customer service!
