Frank's Family Restaurant

Welcome to Frank's in Palmetto! For a long time people described as a hidden gem! Over the years however the best kept "secret" south of Atlanta is out! We have been here at this location since 1992. Everything we prepare down to our spices are freshly &

Don't let the fact that the restaurant is attached to a gas station right off the exit to a major interstate. Frank's Family Restaurant is a hidden gem that serves great, authentic Greek and Italian food. The service and interior reminds me of old school family owned restaurants in Philly and South Jersey. I had a late lunch with my son today at Frank's and his Gyro was great (the lamb melted in his mouth and the pita bread was fresh and appeared to be home made). My chopped steak was delicious and nearly 2X the size and less expensive than what I get at Longhorns or similar chain restaurants. I got a to go order of Chicken Marsala for my wife, which she devoured before I barely had a chance to reheat it in the oven.

We tried this location on a Sunday for dinner. There is plenty of parking in the shared lot in front.Service was prompt. We tried a larger pie here than we'd had previously at the other Partners' locations. The pizza was still good; not a lot of variance from one location to the next, which is generally a good thing in small chains. This location impressed me as being newer than the other 2 in PTC; they seemed to have plenty of space for groups. There wasn't a huge crowd at the time we went.Good option for a standard pizza.

Went to dinner last night and was completely disenchanted. I have always loved the food at Borgo Italia since I lived in Rome and am always looking for authentic Italian cuisine. Both my husband's dish and mine were bland, and we both had to pour salt on our food in order to get any flavor. Our dishes were supposed to have parmeggiano cheese on it and all it had was a bit of shredded cheese around the plate almost as a decoration. When did you start using generic shredded parmesan and where is the quality "grated" parmeggiano you used in the past? You know shredded cheese at an Italian restaurant in Rome is an absolute no-no! Where was the habitual oil to dip the bread? The sauce was tasteless, and definitely not the quality it has been in the past. The cooks in the back were very young boys who obviously do not understand the art of Italian cooking. How very sad that you have cut many corners and your restaurant no longer has the quality or the pride of the family-owned business that it was when you first opened.I am sorry to hear that you are disenchanted with us but I am not sure I understand why . We use exactly the same products and brands we have used for years . The Parmesan is a shredded Parmigiano reggiano . We also of course have the grated kind and use it while we use the shredded mostly for presentation and salads Ad far as the oil goes, it does come with every serving of bread so I apologize if you didn’t receive it, you should have ! The cooks in the back are our nephews and part of the family . I guarantee you that we are putting the same heart and sweat and passion we did in the past if not more. The sauce has been made for about 80 yrs as far as I know in my family with the same recipe and the same San Marzano tomatoes we import from Nocera. I truly am not sure what happened, but I apologize about the not perfect experience and would appreciate you giving another chance . If you have been happy with us many times don’t let one visit drive you away from us . Let us spoil you and provide you with the beautiful authentic experience we have always given you. Please ask for Cris or alex when you return and we will make sure your dinner is unforgettable .

Make sure you go to the new location at 8420 Sequoia Rd! It is a new building that I was visiting and just happened to see this place. You know I never pass up a pizza joint, so there I was! It is a bar/restaurant/take-out setup. One side has a counter just for take-out. I waited in the bar a good 15 mins for service, which never came! I saw a guy in the kitchen scurrying back and forth, then come out front, then in back again. I was about to leave, but I realized that he was doing everything by himself and did not have any help, so I waited a bit longer. He took my order, but then disappeared again! Finally, help came and a waitress showed up to assist him. Apparently, the new waitress didn't show up and he had to call for reinforcements. The pizza was well worth the wait! Nice crust, good chew, tangy sauce, good price, etc. They have a pretty extensive menu to choose from. Next time I'm back, I will stop by again! I'm sure their service is normally very good also
