Novi Vinodolski (pronounced [nɔ̂v̞iː v̞ǐnɔdɔːlskiː], often also called Novi or Novi del Vinodol o Novi in Valdivino in Italian) is a town on the Adriatic Sea coast in Croatia, located south of Crikvenica, Selce and Bribir and north of Senj. The population of Novi is 3,988, with a total of 5,131 people in the city administered area. The city area became a Frankopan property in the 13th century, marking the period to which the most valuable heritage is dated, including the Law codex of Vinodol. City hinterland is dominated by the Vinodol Valley, used for agriculture and winemaking. Economy of the city is dominated by tourist industry, as Novi Vinodolski is well known tourist centre situated in an area largely unaffected by other types of industry and it offers a wide variety of tourist amenities. The Vinodol Valley is also the site of a hydroelectric power plant utilizing water collected in Gorski Kotar reservoirs. Transport links of the city are substantially dependent on the nearby city of Rijeka.

The four of us came for dinner, ordered octopus salad, shrimp risotto and two portions of grilled calamari with pommes frites (pommes ordered additional). Everything was very oily, especially calamari. Shrimp risotto was tasty, but portion was so miniature I was left hungry. Octopus salad didn't tasted as octopus. My brother ordered coffee with cold milk, but got one with hot milk and it was served to my boyfriend. All of our napkins were a bit wet. After we ate none of waiters came to check on us for another drink or to pay the dinner and it was like that for 20 minutes after which we finally succeeded to call one of them to give us check. Absolutely nothing was worth the price, in general it was overpriced, bad service, small portions and average-tasted. The only thing you pay is the location cause it's located in the very center of the city.

Stopped here for some lunch yesterday - not because we'd read any reviews but just because of its perfect location overlooking the sea and towards the town. The food was excellent - we had a pizza to share which was plenty for two at lunch time. Very good base and plenty of fresh toppings. All the food around us looked good - especially the carbonara! - so would definitely go back.Great food and very friendly staff made for a lovely lunch.

Nagyon finomak voltak az ételek, a pincérek rendkÃvül segÃtÅkészek és kedvesek. Gyerekekkel érkezÅknek szuper kis játszótérrel és etetÅszékekkel.The food was delicious, waiters were very helpfull and nice. I highly recommend it to families with children because of its little playground and they have good baby feeding chairs.

Delicious foods especially pizzas and excellent service from Toni. Ice creams are incredible delicious!!! Nice terrace with nice atmosphere. We had a great time with my friends.

Visited this place as I heard from some locals they have really good pizza here. Maybe it was so some years ago, but unfortunately I have to say that I ate here the worst pizza in my whole life. Cheapest possible ingredients, all without any taste... The frozen one from Lidl is better than this! Just avoid.

I asked my friend how her pizza was. "I think this is the worst pizza I've ever had," she said. "It's just a pool of cheese".For myself, I ordered a salad, sardines amd chips. The salad came out at the same time as my friend's pizza - at which point I was informed there were no sardines. So it was just salad and chips for me! On the plus side, the chips were quite nice.

It's a place with a nice ambience. Bonaca salad with octopus was not so great, skip it! No sign of rucola which they mention on the menu, and octopuss was chewy, it almost felt like it came from a package in the supermarket.As a main dish, we ordered 2 grilled squid with a side dish of potato and greens, and 1 fried squid with a side dish of french fries. This was cheaper than ordering squid and side dish separately. My parents asked only to swap their side dishes, as one of them wanted fried squid with potato and greens, and another one wanted rather the fries. We didn't ask for a substitute side dish, just to swap those side dishes between 2 plates.The food was nice.When we got the bill, we got charged 2 x squid without a side dish, and 2 x side dish, hence more expensive. When we tried to explain this to the waiter, he was annoyed and told us he could not do anything about it. Then we asked for the waiter who took the order, and few minutes later we heard back to remove what we think we pay too much, and the waiter would pay from his own pocket. What a nonsense. We paid indeed what we should have paid in the first place and left without giving a tip. Super unprofessional waiter!Such a shame, they lost customers for the future; we left the place with an 'anticlimax' feeling - instead with a smile on our face.

In the city center of Novi Vinodolski, a small restaurant located directly nearby the entrance of the Konsum Shop and DM, with a nice atmosphere and the best service in Novi so far. We ordered the seabass with dalmatian Blitva which was just perfectly cooked, and a wood oven pizza which turn out to be yummy. Then as desert a portion of crepes also very good. And for our surprise, the service we had was the actual owner of the place, a friendly and really nice guy named Tomislav, who managed to convince me that I wanted an expresso after. All in all, the food was perfect and the service even more. And a way better dinning experience in comparison with the restaurants on the promenade, and cheaper too.

It was our last day-out in Novi Vinodolski this holiday for a family 2+2. Well worth every minute and every penny spent. Pizza was excellent, full of toppings with delicious pizza base, highly recommended! Service was very good considering busy time. Spacious environment and great atmosphere. Prices acceptable thorough the menu and ordered items. Would definitely use again.

We had family dinner with children. Bistro has a perfect location in Novi Vinodolski marina harbor. It was freshly renovated and ambient is very nice. Unfortunately food and service are below average. We have started with fish soup that was served only slightly warm. Great home made ravioli filled with fish were destroyed with too heavy and over salted cream sauce. Stew with octopus and fava beans was over salted and more like a soup then stew.Fish filet was grilled perfectly and green tagliatelle pasta with scampi were very tasty. Service was completely confused during setting table, taking order and with delivery of drinks. Delivery of food was quick and ok.I hope food and service will get better soon since perfect location and ambient deserve much better.
