Amazing value for money place

Reviewed By SantaUnEmis

Thanks so much to Rada for making my stay here amazing. I know the price was especially good because the season hasn’t started yet but I needed a cheap place to stay as out and about mainly and this was the best I have found in the area with a separate room. Very happy with the facilities, how welcome I felt and how close the place is to harbour/town. Wishing you guys lots of luck in the future :)

Tchaikovsky Hostel Split

Just average

Reviewed By Jkk193

Good location. Nice atmosphere and people. Helpful staff. Bit of a strange layout though. Mostly clean and tidy Bed sheets were ripped. You have to walk through another room to get to your room. Bathroom was next to the kitchen. Just 2 women's showers with curtains so not a lot of privacy. Just one single hob to cook so didn't bother queuing to use it.

Hostel Dvor

If you are a fan of the Mediterranean and looking for accommodation that will provide you with traditional Mediterranean environment, hostel Dvor is the perfect choice. Its appearance is reminiscent of ancient stone houses of Split’s Old Town. In the traditional vernacular architecture, “Dvor” (inner courtyard) was surrounded by high stone walls, and in our hostel it has been repurposed into the external living room leading directly into the rooms on the ground floor. We are committed to providing only the highest level of service to our guests, which is confirmed by the ongoing work to improve our offer, and keeping up with current trends in the market.

Great for groups!

We had a great experience on our stay with a group of 36 people. Never have I been in such a modern, neat and clean hostel before. Also the breakfast was better than I have previous experienced with included breakfasts. The staff is helpful with finding good experiences like wine tasting or booking a transfer. Would recommend!

Good, basic accommodation

Reviewed By Marie E

We stayed in a private room, so can't comment on what it would be like staying in a dorm. Positive points: * Clean * Wifi * Air conditioning * Fantastic location * Friendly reception staff Negative points: * The room was very small, which made it quite difficult to maneuver round with two suitcases. * Our room was right outside the reception, which meant that it was quite noisy with people coming and going during the night I wouldn't have liked to stay much longer than we did (3 nights) but for a basic base for sightseeing it was fine.

Nice apartments

The location was a short 5 minute walk to the Riva. There are 2 bakeries and two grocery stores about a 3 minute walk away. Very close to bus, train, and port. I enjoyed the large balcony. The room had everything I needed. Very convenient to have the mini kitchen and an extra bonus for having an ice tray! The towels here were very stiff. On occasion, I had problems logging into wi-fi but definitely not a deal-breaker. Everything was very clean and I felt safe there (female solo traveler). The air conditioning is fantastic.

Great location but has some kinks

Reviewed By Underwanderingstars

Pros: - Hostel is located in the heart of the old town, only thing is good luck finding it! It’s tucked in an alley across from the Muslim centre of Split. Took us about an hour to find unfortunately but once you catch your bearings it’s easy enough - staff was friendly Cons: - no hot water, just enough for one person 5 min shower. If hostel has other guests chances are you will be showering in ice water (3 showers all were cold) - wifi is horrible, not sure why they havent fixed this issue. Had troubles loading even Google. - no atmosphere or lounge room (warranted its a tight space for a hostel so it’s very small and not much room) Which means the rooms are all very close and you can hear everything in the hallways.

Had such a great time at Fiesta Siesta. It's a party hostel (there is a bar downstairs) but it closes at midnight so it isn't too loud. The staff is super friendly; my friend and I had a great time hanging out with them at Charlie's and playing drinking games at Booze and Snooze. There is also a laundromat across the street which was very helpful.

Good enough

Reviewed By jdn2705

We stayed in a 4-bed dorm with ensuite bathroom, which was very useful. The room and the lockers for your luggage were definitely big enough. The location is also a large plus, close to the bus and train station as well as to the city center. However, the kitchen/common area was very small and we had some noise from the street and from the room above ours.

Avoid if you want to keep your positive balance

Reviewed By Sherpa094076555

Man have I ever felt such a bad, toxic energy in someone's house! You get a feeling that you're in an active bomb, ready to explode. Children of some antipatic older guy staying there, yelling and throwing rocks at the poor dog and chasing cats all day long and that beautiful dog seems like the only positive figure out there! The guy with children was yelling like crazy in his mother tongue. At his wife? I got a feeling that he has issues of some kind, completely out of balance. I wanted to run away from there, believe me, it's a toxic place. Please if you're sensitive, emotional person or an animal lover stay away from this chaotic hostel or call an animal shelter to save those poor souls!

Look no further, this is the place to stay!

Reviewed By Katie6237

Located only a few minutes walk from the port, this is the perfect location to stay. There are several steps up to the apartment (as there are with almost all places here) but they are easily manageable and this should not put you off. I have included a photo of the steps from the harbour to apartment. The owners greeted us on arrival and could not have been more welcoming and friendly. We had only arrived early with the hope of dropping off our luggage but were delighted to be allowed to check in over 2 hours early and provided with a glass of ice cold water. We were then given maps of the island along with lots of helpful tips about dining out and boat trips before being shown to our apartment. Once inside our first impression was of an immaculately presented apartment with great attention to detail. WiFi passwords were framed in the bedroom and the bathroom was stocked with complimentary toiletries. Both bedrooms have wonderful air conditioning along with access to the large terrace area where you are met with stunning sea views. Solar lanterns on the table create a lovely evening atmosphere. I have no negatives from this stay. We will definitely return to Hvar and without a shadow of doubt this is the only place I would look to stay.
