Cambalache is a take away pizza shop. It's open from 7 to 11pm everyday. We have a great varity of pizzas and individual small ones. We are just in front of Hostal Maxima, and a block and a half from the malecon.

My boyfriend and I are staying in Puerto López for three months and we eat pizza here every chance we getâ the owners are the nicest people and the pizzas are sooo good! As a New Yorker, I have high standards about pizza, and i know it's all in the crustâ and these guys have got it on point! They make the perfect dough and use high heat to get the crust perfectly crunchy. The pizzas are loaded with herbs and olive oil (it's very uncommon for people to use real olive oil in Ecuador) and are super flavorful. Our favorite is the Napolitana :o) Go try them, you won't regret it!!Muchas gracias chicos y los esperamos prontito por acá para que sigan degustando nuestras pizzas!!!

We are suckers for a good wood fired pizza so when we saw this oven cooking food outside of the restaurant we knew we had to stop in.We started with the bruschetta which was fresh and delicious. My husband ordered the pizza which he enjoyed and I ordered the carbonara which was ok.The service was a bit slow as they seemed to have to go out to a local store to get the drinks upon ordering. I never did receive the glass of wine that I ordered.Thanks for the comment. I'm sorry for the inconvenience regarding the wine cup. In order to face the carnival I had to hire a new waiter and I believe that the error is due to inexperience and pressure to cage undergo, we were full of people. And yes, we had finished fresh drinks and waiting for the new ones to cool down we were forced to buy them out to avoid inconvenience to customers and offer better service. We thank you for your kind assistance and we are waiting to offer you a cup of wine to make us forgive. Thank you.Luca

Our family dined here one night and we all enjoyed our meal. The restaurant offers thin crust individual pizzas cooked in a wood oven that are DELECTABLE. The pasta is home made and the service is terrific. I especially loved the Neopolitana with anchovies and capers! Thank you very much for your comment. We stopped at Forno Del Porto a couple of times during our stay in Puerto Lopéz. They have a nice courtyard in the back where you can enjoy your pizza. The pizzas are good but could be cooked a bit longer to make the crust a bit crispier.Its a lovely little spot to enjoy a nice pizza!

Had excellent pizza and pasta and a wonderful jug of sangria here - really clean and pleasant surroundings. Only drawback I would suggest is the price - I know Ayampe does tend to be the most expensive town along the coast but I think this was pushing it. Great meal though so didnât mind too much. Thank you for your visit! Glad to know you thought it worth it. We work hard to maintain the quality standard. And it is costly to have a wood oven. Hope you come back soon!

Lovely Italian restaurant with a great atmosphere. Very tasty pasta, homemade in house. Beware of ordering the off the menu house special - it was very delicious but twice the price of anything else on the menu so a bit of sticker shock when the bill came. Tiramisu desert was tasty.

This is by no stretch of the imagination âfine diningâ, but it is the next best thing. The owner/host is friendly and welcoming and multilingual (though depth of language ability is clearly limited). Speaking Spanish, even my execrable version of it, is clearly a plus. Artisanal beer is excellent, food (we shared a medio pizza americana and were each stuffed) plentiful and tasty, service relaxed and informal. This is great place to come and spend an hour or two over lunch. Coffee is good and the stracciatella hellado as good as I have had anywhere. Setting/decor is tropical fine and comfortable. Amazingly quiet for being only one small block away from the Malecón. We havenât eaten anywhere else in Puerto Lopez, but we did spend a few hours walkabout and didnât see anything nicer. Fours stars only because it doesnât compare to the Pierre or Chez Gallopin, but a clear five star for rural/ beach Ecuador. Well worth going. One other couple there while we were, and they had clearly returned for the second or third time. A very hearty and sincere positive recommendation.
