Great food is served in our restaurant. A different gastronomic experience with creative types of menu. Starting from 30 Chf, with the daily menu, you can have appetizer, chef salad, pasta or wild meat and the daily dessert. Else make you happy and choose
We were the first patrons in this restaurant, which is underneath the Matterhorn Golf Hotel. As we walked in, we could barely hear because several TV sets were playing a Celine Dion concert, full volume. The hostess (probably the owner's wife?) showed us to a table and turned down the volume, mercifully. She brought menus and we noted an extensive wine list. We are not big drinkers nor big eaters, so when she returned we asked for two glasses of white wine. She returned a few minutes later to say that wine was not available, we had to choose between one red and a pinot grigio - those were the only two available. We chose the pinot. She went away and returned with an unopened bottle. We explained that we wanted only one glass each, and she assured us that we could have that. We then ordered spinach-and-ricotta ravioli dinners which were listed for 22 Swiss francs each. This prompted the first visit from the chef/owner, (Marcello or Michaelo, I think?), who began by telling us that "the season" was over, and he just stayed open to help hungry travelers. He then stated that it was expensive just to open the restaurant, and people should expect to pay a MINIMUM of 30 Swiss francs each for the privilege of eating his food, as his was one of the "top 5 restaurants in Switzerland". People came from miles away to learn from him. This was not McDonalds! At this point, I was ready to leave, but we had already been billed for our room the day we made our reservation, and we were tired. Our waitress served our meals, about 8 ravioli inside a "tent" made of small tortillas - an attractive presentation. The food was good, no doubt about it.... but then Morelli returned to lecture some more, about when we were there, we were not in Switzerland, we were in HIS RESTAURANT! Fortunately, another party arrived to take his attention from us. We finished as quickly as we could and returned to our room, and left early next morning. We did not sample his breakfast at 12 Swiss francs, despite the sheet of paper in our room which listed each available breakfast item, with the value of each, and a page heading stating that the breakfast was a real bargain!

-Atmospheric warm or bright modern feel -Local and international food -Daily changing half board menu with 4 or 5 courses -A la carte possible
We stayed at a hotel near the Jagerhof and found this to be an excellent place for dinner. You can order off the menu or choose to have a 3 or 4 course meal. We had the 3 course meal that included a wonderful salad bar, main course and dessert. The food was good and the service was excellent. We looked at other restaurant menus and did not find one with a better value.Dear DanThanks a lot for joining us in our restaurant and for taking your time to write us this great report! We and especially our kitchen and service team is glad to receive this wonderful compliments. Your words means that good food must not be very expensive - also not in Zermatt, as we try to offer a very good value for money. Thanks again! We wish you all the best and hope to see you again next time! Kin regards

Really good restaurant in a beautiful location with a great view of the Matterhorn. Both indoor and outdoor eating. Everything locally sourced and made to order. Had the goat cheese salad and the whole sea bream, both of which were delicious. Dessert was the cheesecake with raspberries. On the way out I saw their homemade fruit pie which looked incredible. Definitely a restaurant to go to.

My wife and I had recently traveled to Zermatt with our tour group. Our Tour Director Lucy had personally recommended going to Pollux for the Raclette. Raclette was a Swiss cheese dish which my wife and I had never experienced or tasted before - it was delicious. We also decided to split a meat and cheese plate. The quality of each ingredient was evident in every bite. Due to the large number of âbitesâ we had, we were not able to finish all of the meat and cheese plate. However, we both pleasantly and quickly consumed it. Delicious. We had originally wanted to have the Cheese Fondue there, but they only serve it in one section of the restaurant and that section full when we arrived. Since we did get our Raclette on our first visit, we decided we might try to go back the next day for the Fondue. Regardless, we had delicious food and saw other dishes that we would have enjoyed as well. You may be coming to Zermatt as we were and not know where to eat. You will not go wrong with Pollux. The staff was of the same high quality as the food.

My GF and I visited this restaurant on 11 June 2017 for dinner. The setting was impeccable - very exquisite decor and grand ambiance. Our dinner comprised cold and warm appetizers (buffet-style garden fresh salads, ham, sausage and bacon, and various kinds of cheese, etc.), white wine soup, suckling pork knuckles, and tiramisu/sorbet. All were to our liking and served by very attentive waiters and waitresses. We felt we were treated like royalty.Dear guest WyselyThank you for your visit and for the great review. We are happy you enjoyed your evening in our restaurant and were satisfies by our food and services. We would be happy to welcome you back and spoil you again.Kind regards from sunny ZermattYour Parkhotel Beau Site Team

I read a review that this was a chic little bar in the Firefly hotel. I'm always looking for little gems and "secret" hideaways for my wife and I to go to. Bar55 did not disappoint. The decor and ambiance were stellar and the bartenders (sorry! forgot your names!) were super friendly, knowledgeable and fun to talk with. We met some Swiss locals and had a great time over the wonderful drinks that were made. One of the bartenders made a round of Mai-Tais... not your standard drink for a European ski resort, but having lived in Hawaii for a decade, I can attest they were among the best Mai-tais ever! The other cool thing about this bar, is the many little intimate nooks that are great for small groups to gather.

Mediterranean dishes, international style
The meal we had here was good Italian/European food, as it was off season, the restaurant was almost empty. Service was great, the front of house went over everything with us, and talked to us about wine from the area. Overall a nice meal.

Welcome to Sparky's Bar & Restaurant. Wee are now closed after the summer season. Sparky's Bar & Restaurant will be opening again for the winter season from Thursday 14th November 2019. See you all soon.
We were so impressed with the food and Sparky that we ate here twice in our 8 night stay in Zermatt. Prices in Zermatt are very expensive but Sparkyâs was more reasonable. All the curries were gluten free and delicious. The 3 of us had a different one and all of them were very tasty. They did other type of food too. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and Sparky is a great chef and character. Definitely worth visiting if you are staying in Zermatt.
