Muy buen restaurante, excelente servicio, plantos muy buen servidos, la pasta y salsas excelentes y caseras, baños super limpios, muy cálido y linda decoración

The restaurant served very good food quickly which was great for a stop on a road trip. The bathhrooms are in great shape, the wait staff was amazingly good. And since it is acress the street from the nature reserve where you can watch a bunch of camels roaming about while you eat.

Cafe Beyruti

Reviewed By Diane W - Broadway, North Carolina

While visiting the sites in Flores, we made a stop for lunch in Trinidad and came across Café Beyruti on the main plaza - address is Santisima 561. Our group of four enjoyed everything we ordered: The Cuban rice that came with fried bananas was very tasty. The stroganoff was nicely flavored with a rich creamy sauce. The entrecot was a bit small compared to the usual serving size in Uruguay, but, as always here, the meat was excellent. And finally the brochette (kebab style) was excellent, tasty and juicy! We enjoyed coffee with cream and a café cortado afterwards. Service as efficient, but our server could have been a bit more cordial. Maybe she was having a bad day because usually in this country the servers are friendly and talkative. Overall, if you are in the area, Café Beyruti is a nice place to have lunch and enjoy the plaza.

Parador El Rancho

Reviewed By Diane W - Broadway, North Carolina

This parador was recommended to us by the staff at the Hotel Maxim. They were right! The food was very good, the service was excellent, and we felt right at home. The only drawback to this restaurant is that it is located on the main road through the town of Trinidad, and so there is a lot of truck and bus traffic which, that night - a Tuesday - made it too noisy to sit outdoors in the sidewalk eating area. Once we moved inside, everything was fine. There is no bar service, but we enjoyed beer and wine while waiting for our meat to cook. Our server was especially kind and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed in a timely manner. The location, despite being noisy, is very convenient whether you're passing through town or returning from the beautiful park across the street. It's a great place for people watching and we would definitely choose to eat here again when we are in the area.

Restaurante Don Quijote

Reviewed By Alan B - Hove, England, United Kingdom

Came across this place in the main square next to the police station. Appears to be part of the modern hotel next door so had the same decor which made a nice Antidote to the rustic parrilladas we had eaten in for the previous 10 days.
We had lunch here, nice waiter, food good but typically Uruguayan non-grill fare of pizza, pasta, some meat dishes.
Best toilets in Uruguay too!

No tengo dudas, volvería a parar aquí.
