We discovered this play ground when we visited the nice, clean and warm public toilets nearby. There were children playing on all sorts of different adventure equipment. There is a zip wire, climbing frame, swings and all sorts of other types of apparatus to keep youngsters occupied. Dogs are not allowed. There is also a fenced off football and basketball court.

We booked two half-day sessions and had accommodation at the adjoining cottage. One word: brilliant. Cottage is lovely, quiet and comfortable. We both really enjoyed the pottery (I'm a complete beginer). Alan is a great teacher. What a great weekend away, can't recommend it enough.

Visited the Manor on a rainy, misty day - thus it was somewhat dark inside. We thoroughly enjoyed touring through all the various rooms where the collector Charles Wade kept the thousands of objects he had collected. They came from all periods of human history and from all over the world. In each room, a very helpful docent gave us even more details about the objects in that room. Particularly enjoyed the woman in the upstairs room with the bicycles. Everyone so friendly. Unexpected treat!

Fantastic place to visit with family and friends and especially if you are a fan of birds. Only £10 entry for adults to enjoy 3 flying shows. Many different raptors showcased with entertaining commentary. Would definitely recommend this if you are visiting the Cotswolds.

If you were to design a cinema experience from scratch what would you include? Somewhere with two bars, good food, snacks, hot food, comfy seats, drinks & food delivered to your seats, ordering drinks & food by text from your seat during the film? This is what the owners included when they re-opened this refurbished Art Deco cinema.
We chose the duo plush velvet seats on the balcony but we also love the open table bar area from which you watch the screen on the ground floor.
Good friendly and almost personal service is provided by staff in all areas. Seat, drinks & food prices are all reasonable and they do manage to get the top films.
You need to try it to fully appreciate the experience and if you don't want a wine or beer with cheese delivered to your seat why not try a cup of tea with scones.

Hidcote's "garden rooms" came first. They were developed over 30 years by Major Lawrence Johnston, an American naturalized as a British citizen, a Cambridge graduate and professional soldier (Boer War, WW I). After his mother bought this property in 1907, Johnston absorbed the latest in garden publications about the then-current Arts and Crafts style. He was also influenced by Gertrude Jekyll. He became a noted plant collector. He remained a voracious reader about Gardens. The rest is history.
Hidcote is one of the world's best known Gardens. In 1948, Johnston arranged its transfer to the UK National Trust and the RHS. Although still spectacular, the Gardens are being restored to their heyday of 1920-1940.
I can highly recommend visiting. And now I want to see Johnston's subsequent project, Serre de la Madone, on the French Riviera near Menton, where the climate helped with his war wounds.
NOTE: We enjoyed a quick soup and Sandwich at the casual cafe called Mrs, Winthrop's after Johnston's mother. It is in a converted outbuilding on the property.

I cannot begin to describe the wonders that await visitors to this beautiful, Cotswold Manor House. Over 20,000 artefacts of every type and material and from every period. The range is simply breathtaking. The oriental pieces include the most magnificent Samurai suits of armour, then a room full of spinning machines, a charming display of early 20th Century toys, musical instruments, bicycles, the list goes on and on. The Gardens are exquisite, with beautifully landscaped terraces, a miniature village and much more. All I can say is if you are in the area, you must come here. Run by the National Trust, there is a delightful tearoom and plenty of free parking.

We visited xmas eve around 10.30am for an experience to help son who was starting to question after an older kid did the dirty. He was so completely convinced after I can't say better than that, there was an interactive lead upto the seeing of Santa with the elves leading the way on a Mission to help the cause, the group was a little large which made it difficult to engage those at the rear but when we got to the 'waiting room' it was prepped to do colouring sheets, word searched and mazes. There may have been other things but other than a cuddle with a rabbit Son was finished after the one worksheet and keen to join the queue to see Santa. Partner did bang his head on a bell decoration which smarted a little but I guess they didn't think of adult Seating under a large wooden painted bell being an issue. Elf and Safety may say that was a bit daft but it didn't spoil the experience.
I found that trying to get around in my powered wheelchair very tricky more so than when I visited earlier in the year because the ground has impacted and there are some dips where there is more wood chip and thus risk of grounding, wheel spinning and overall felt rather stranded especially when everyone wanted to do the crazy mini golf because I couldn't even get close enough to get a photograph.
Some of the ramps are a little abrupt and squared so I did catch my anti-tip wheels a lot and it wasn't as smooth as it could be. There's a bit in the lizard house which i found very difficult too.
There's a stamp hunt which the children can do and we were not the only insane people venturing around the dinosaurs to get the stamps but we did successfully collect all the stamps and still had time for a warm de-thawing drink before 2pm.
The food was affordable I had a £3 soup which came with "half a baguette" It was half a mini baton which had been cooked from frozen it was warm and nice and crispy on the outside but a little void of substance inside. The soup was as described a vegetable soup and was tasty. My partner had Loaded potato skins for £5.50 with a side salad and he was also offered coleslaw which he chose not to have and staff had made sure not to include which is always a good sign (get what you ordered). The potatoes were nice and large and fully stuffed to the brim. The children's lunch bag was 5 items inclusive of the 1/4 Sandwich of either ham or cheese leaving 4 further items including fruit and chocolate or crisps but not a juice carton (this had to be purchased separately).
The park allows picnicking but not in the cafe which was considerate, so to all the previous reviews about price - there is a choice. . .
The staff were very helpful, friendly and smiled as they were working, happy to engage with children who had any questions about the animals and the surroundings. There were more developments happening a new structure was being build opposite the outside playground and the mini golf was fairly new (for a deposit of £1 you can get a ball from reception and the clubs are at the event so you don't have to carry it around with you all day).
Worth also noting this is a blue peter badge venue so any blue peter badge holders can get in for free with photographic proof.
Overall a great few hours, will be better in the warmer months as we can stay out more and the ground will be more solid for the wheelchair.

For lack of a tour guide and in pouring rain, I bought the guidebook at the gift shop. "Kiftsgate Court Gardens, Three Generations of Women Gardeners," by Anne Chambers surprised me by being a first-person narrative, unusual in such guidebooks. Reading it felt like a personal tour. Mrs. Chambers is the third generation gardener here.
The garden still evolves over generations and circumstances and reflects differing tastes and personalities, a combination which may help explain its appeal. It is the work of three generations of talented, skilled, dedicated amateurs inspired by the life, then the legacy, of their neighbor Lawrence Johnston at Hidcote, and assisted by succeeding teams of gardeners. I can highly recommend a visit.
