This was my second hot air balloon trip and I was quite disappointed. The trip was delayed due to 'wind' although the day seemed very calm and then rescheduled for the Sunday morning. The balloon travelled very very low for the entire trip, barely over...MoreSorry we disappointed you. The beauty of ballooning is the low level flights we can achieve, allowing you to have the best visuals of the ground from the air.

The Green Bean Coffee Roastery

I had a wonderful time at the Green Bean Coffee Roastery. They have a large selection of most African Arabicas and the best selected beans. You can tell by the colour and the size that they only choose the best beans, which come from private coffee plantations sourced from Kenya, Burundi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia (Limu, Sidamo, Yirgacheffe) Cameroon, Zimbabwe, Malawi and to name a few. You can also choose your own blend. the owner Lee Anderson is wonderfully informative and passionate about the coffee and travels extensively herself to a lot of these countries to source good Arabicas. You won't find any Robusta here. She is wonderful about advising on tastes, even how to make a decent cup of coffee. You leave there with freshly (still warm packets) of lovely coffee and an outing that has made you more knowledgeable than most. If you are lunching at Casalinga or Leafey Greens, then pop in for some amazing fun and wonderful experience.

A horse-riding facility offering short 1-2 hour trips on horseback, and weekly horse-riding lessons as well. Was my first time on a horse, and I really loved the experienced. I went on a 1 hour ride on an open veld, with a guide who was walking with my horse and I the whole time to ensure that the horse didn't decide to do its own thing and run away with me on its back. Each horse gets a guide to walk with, and the main tour guide leads the pack of horses on the tour. Was good to be closer to the tour guide as we could ask questions throughout the trip - not so much if you and your horse were at the back of the single file line. They make sure that they give you a horse suited to your height, weight and riding experience. Really good experience, even in the cold weather. Worth another visit in the middle of summer, when the land has come alive again.
