Welcome to The Game Cock Inn a Traditional Yorkshire Dales pub, restaurant and B&B with a cosy bar, real fire, award winning restaurant, delicious food with a French twist and comfortable, quality accommodation.
Lovely village pub with welcoming staff, cosy bar area and wood burning stove. Unexpected French influence on the food which made a change! Enjoyed a smoked haddock and chorizo starter followed by confit duck special, delicious! Would definitely return.

We had no intentions of coming to this tearoom, we only stopped after having driven for a bit and wanted to have a snack.
Large car park opposite the tearoom. We ordered scones and tea cakes. We were disappointed that they were not homemade or fresh. They were slightly dry and only a small portion of clotted cream and jam was served. The 'dining room' had the home feel but there were many clutters and clatters hanging around the room. There were many jars of homemade jam as well as cookies for sale (in the room). I bought a bag of Shrewsbury biscuits and a bag of Crunchies (biscuits) to take home. They were delicious, not too sweet and it felt like how grandparents used to bake compared to the scones and teacakes we had on that day. The service from the elderly couple was good but the food served to us was a let down.
If I hadn't bought or tried their biscuits as well as the good service from the elderly couple, it would have been a 'poor' rating solely on the food they served from the menu.

The Italian Restaurant in Settle is a cosy intimate restaurant in the heart of Settle. It is perfect for every occasion from a romantic meal for two up to larger groups of up to 18/20 people, taking the whole restaurant at no extra cost. Free parking is available right outside the door. Reservations are recommended and please be aware we only accept cash. We don't advertise a take-away service but if we can, we will, inbetween serving the restaurant so please ring in advance to avoid dissapointment. Should you require a high chair please mention this when booking, as we are only small we have to store them off site
Our first visit for some reason as we've been visiting Settle for a few years. Great food, tasty bolognaise and a very hearty seafood linguine. We were early and served quickly but I think the wait got longer the more people arrived, not a problem in such a lovely little quirky place. Chef works very hard to please and waiting on girls very nice. We will return.

We went for Sunday lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the food and ambiance of this wonderful place. The staff are exceptionally good at balancing service with a friendly and relaxed approach. The house and Gardens are stunning. The cuisine was faultless. What more can we say except make sure that you book before you go

We were looking for somewhere special to celebrate our 47th wedding anniversary. We have visited the Little House on several occasions on previous stays in Settle and knew we would be looked after with a very warm welcome by the friendly owners, followed by a first class service and delicious food. We were not disappointed. Thank you Veronica and Andrew.

Family friendly free house on the edge of the beautiful village of Giggleswick & near the market town of Settle. Great food, beer & rooms.
Five of us had a meal here and everything was delicious and excellent value for money. Lyn and Johnothan were very friendly and could not have made us feel more welcome. Will definitely call back again. Beautiful relaxing surroundings.

We love our food here at The Lion and we hope that you will too. You can choose from menus which have been created to showcase the best local in season produce, sourced from trusted suppliers throughout Settle and the surrounding area.
Passed by and popped in for a meal. A cold December day and a nice wood fire burning. We had the lovely sausages and mash and some sticky toffee pudding. The whole meal was tasty and went down a treat. Then back on the road. Staff were very friendly, and the hotel was obviously very busy with guests and their dogs coming and going up and down the stairs. The other diners around were also in good humour - a good atmosphere which is infectious!

There are two Indian restaurants in Settle so referred to Trip Advisor to help decide. Having gone with Ruchee (and eventually finding it) I was glad we did. We first bought some bottles of Cobra from the Co-op as the premises are not licensed. The staff were fine keeping them in the fridge. The decor is modern but pleasant and clean. The toilets were clean and well maintained. We had poppadoms with dips for starters which were good. I had my favourite meal, garlic chilli chicken with a garlic naan and we shared a pilau rice. The food was well presented & looked and tasted like it was made with fresh ingredients. The menu said hot and it was unlike some I have had which should have been classed as medium. Portion sizes good and staff boxed up the leftovers for us to take away. Waiters were polite at all times. Orange segments & hot towels to finish before a couple of chocs when settling the bill. Prices were reasonable although taking own beer makes a huge difference of course.
