This was not a very good restaurant. The service was very average with one of the waiters spending most of his time watching a football match on the television, even when taking orders. The staff had to be called over for everything from getting water to replenishing drinks. The place is very noisy and so conversations at one end of the table were just not able to be heard at the other. As for the food - well the grilled lamb was good but not just well matched at all to coleslaw. And it took over an hour for the meals to arrive! It was generally not a good experience and so it is difficult to match this with other very positive reviews - clearly it is a bit hit or miss, and unfortunately we missed.I am sorry you didn't enjoy your experience at The Mediterranean as we pride ourselves on good food and service. Can you please get in touch with me so I can take it further and properly train my staff. We would like you to give us another go as that is not what The Mediterranean is about.Chris

Recently, I had breakfast at this charming establishment, which is located a short and pleasant stroll from the main Glenelg shopping and cafe precinct.Itâs worth the effort of finding this charming establishment, which is staffed by friendly folk who are most obliging and hospitable.The food is excellent, with a focus on freshness and authenticity.I had a very tasty pulled pork burger - a special on the day - which was accompanied by some perfectly crisp crackling - an extra treat (see picture).My dining companions also expressed satisfaction with the food, service and ambience. We were fortunate to dine in the open courtyard at the rear of the establishment; you also can dine inside.An adjunct to the business is a shop offering an array of fresh provisions - well worth a look during your visit.Highly recommended when youâre in the area!

Recently opened in a side street opposite Moseley Street(where the backpackers is).Casual mainly takeaway(limited stool seating) that specialises in baked Potatoes. So many fillings to choose from as well as some standard choices. Large and Small. Light Potato or sweet Potato(Kumara to NZ folk). The Aussie beef one is great. Love it as it caters for those who wants some meat like me and also my wife who is a vegetariona(ovo - lactarian) and designed her own Sweet Potato. Get your takeaway and go and sit on the beach or in the square.
