Nous avons déjeuné à 6 dans cet établissement, tout à été très bien, le repas, le service, les vins. Pour avoir été à la réunion la cuisine est très bonne, la salle colorée et simple est agréable.

This is a basic restaurant which offers good food, either a la carte, menu du jour or speciality burgers. All are good value and the portions are very generous. You are not going away hungry. The restaurant has a choice of indoor seating or an outside terrace. The latter is beside the street by quite convivial nevertheless. Wine prices are very good with quite good quality. The staff are all very friendly. Beware - closed on Thursday.

Second time ive been there and their Pizza's still have no flavour, like they don't believe in garlic in their tomato sauce, the thin pizza bases also dont seem to be salted? The waiter seemed to serve everybody else before us, even people that had arrived long after us. My girlfriend's spaghetti Carbonara was too al dente and again flavorless, she was also served last whilst we were already eating, very strange.This was the town's popular market day and we were expecting it to be heaving, but no, loads of empty tables, we can see why.

A set 3 course menu for ⬠15.50 reflected excellent value for money although the food could have been hotter the portion size was fine ! Marion looked after us and was attentive and spoke some English..

Pont-de-Vaux may not be a tourist town in itself though its a good place to stop if you are boating on the Saone, or on your way South by car. It boasts several OK-ish restaurants but the one to head for is the excellent Hotel du Commerce. It may sound like the rundown haunt of commercial travelers, and perhaps once it was, but now its formal, slightly old-fashioned dining room serves elegant and tasty meals to both locals and holiday-makers passing through - and commercial travelers too no doubt! The man in the kitchen has interesting ways of presenting Burgundy favourites: the snails come in ravioli served with a light garlic and parsley foam. A dish of scallops with riz de veau might sound odd but I can testify to its deliciousness. Excellent cheeseboard and lovely light puds - every course was consistently first-rate and the whole meal excellent value. Good, carefully chosen and well-priced local wines - try the delicious Gérald Talmard from Uchizy, a village just down the road. As important to me as the food and wine is the quality of service. At the Hotel du Commerce the perfect balance prevails - cheerful friendliness coupled with professionalism. I'm so glad I'm a local!

Pay 40 euro and you get the 5 course with Bresse duck and Morilles as main. It was really outstanding Enjoy the cheese platter, and please choose some Epoisses, it was in absolute perfect condition.Be sure to go when its sunny as you will get a table under the big beautiful platanes in the back-garden. Friendly hostness and a good relaxed ambience is what you get for free.Salut.

Came across this place by chance one lunchtime as it is down a side street in Pont de Vaux, not on the main street. Worth seeking out though as they have a nice shady terrace, friendly staff and good food. I went for the menu du jour which has a choice of three starters and three main courses. Plus a dessert for 13 euros which makes the place good value. My wife had an enormous salad which was also good value at 10 euros. Will definitely come again.Toute l'équipe vous remercie pour votre avis tant sur la cuisine que sur le service. Nous sommes en effet un peu à l'écart du centre ville, ce qui, comme vous l'avez justement noté, vous offre un cadre calme avec notre terrasse ombragée. Nous proposons une formule midi, entrée, plat, dessert et café à 13⬠et une carte variée avec des entrées, viandes, poisson, tartares, pizza et desserts : du tout fait maison avec des produits frais. Merci encore pour votre commentaire, à très bientôt.

Le Raisin is well-deserving of its Michelin star. Although the tasting menu is only 4 courses, it is punctuated with an equal number of tantalizing (as the name suggests!) amuses bouche that combine to make what amounts to an 8 course meal. The chef is a creative, clearly frustrated architect, who produces sculptured presentations of wonderfully flavored and complex dishes. Well worth a visit!
