We visited out of season and Narbonne Plage was almost like a ghost town. Fortunate ghosts! EM et G is a great local restaurant in a characterful room at the landward end of the main drag. Atmosphere is welcoming and friendly, food is acceptably good and the organic La Clape that we chose was peppery and delicious. The restaurant deserves to do well so give it a try!Thank you so much for your feedback.

Restaurant l'Art de Vivre - Chateau l'Hospitalet

Touring the south of France on our HD motorbikes we passed by Chateau L'Hospitalet, the home of Gerard Betrand wines. We started with an interesting tour of the chateau, professionally guided by Thibaut de Braquilanges (Global Travel Retail Director), including a walk through the vineyard itself and the cave with its huge stock of aging wines,....very impressive. After that we enjoyed a light lunch on the terrace at restaurant L'Art de Vivre of Chef de Cuisine Laurant Chabert, who prides himself to champion a kind of farm to fork cuisine sourcing as much as possible seasonal produce from the surrounding region. We started with a refreshing amuse buche, followed by, as entree, Green Asparagus from Narbonne/Collioure Ansjovy/low temperature cooked quail egg/sorbet and as main course Steamed Seabass filet/green peas/kitchen garden vervena/lemon grass; all exquisite in taste and great presentation. Further enhancing the food was a beautiful Gerard Betrand Volcanic Rose, Chateau La Sauvageonne, 2016. Impressed by the overall lunch experience (service was very attentive and friendly!), we decided to return the same evening for the "Jazz on Friday", with as jazz band "Boni & Co" and a set menu with accompanying wines. The menu consisted of "Oeuf Bio Mollet en Croute d'herbes" (amazing presentation!!!), "Declinaison de Chevre de Combebelle" and "Tartelette Contemporaine Carotte Orange (very much interesting mix of carrot and orange!) with as accompanying wines "Chateau l'Hospitalet Art de Vivre AOP Coteaux du Languedoc 2016, Domaine de Villemajou AOP Corbieres Boutenac 2015 and Muscat de Rivesaltes AOP Muscat de Rivesaltes 2015. As for the lunch, also this Jazz dinner was superb, with the same perfect combination of great food and wine and friendly attentive service, further enhanced by the live jazz music with the band playing an interesting mix of jazz, soul and some 80's music that got many of the diners on the dance floor. Without any doubt one of the must do stops whilst in the south of France and for those after an extraordinary experience of gastronomy and on Fridays also some entertainment.Dear Guest,We sincerely thank you for taking the time to write your very positive review on Trip Advisor about our restaurant l'Art de Vivre.Looking forward to welcoming you again soon at Domaine l'Hospitalet (restaurant l'Art de Vivre or Hôtel château l'Hospitalet) for another experience.Sincerely,

Restaurant Sepia

The chief only cooks with local and seasonal products. The fish of the day comes from Valras, and the menu changes every week.

Just had a lovely lunch there, both adults had the menu and the 3 courses came out beautifully presented and were delicious, quite refreshing on a hot summer's day. Our daughter availed of the kids' menu which had nice options including 3 desserts and also came nicely presented. Attentive service including a visit from the young chef himself.
