This is a good food place for anyone looking for a halal option. The food is extensive middle eastern cuisine with gyros, sandwiches and burgers. It's not a fancy place for a formal dinner, but the food is great. I love the fact that it's almost the only halal place I know of in the area which is open till 3 a.m every night!! So it sure takes care of all my post midnight cravings

I'm happy this is one of the three locations I can pick to enjoy some fried chicken because this Perth Amboy Popeyes location picks up the issues that other fried chicken joints, including other Popeyes locations themselves, slack off in. I can confidently walk in here and sit right down and enjoy juicy, well-seasoned and spiced fried chicken goodness that the Popeyes name wraps itself around in. Of course you came here to see why I'm saying this stuff about the chicken, so I'm going to begin with the food quality. I typically come here for the local favourite "Tuesday Special" consisting of a leg and a thigh - a good amount for less than $2! Not to say I don't enjoy other things, but this is a great start to get repeat customers, like myself, to enjoy their chicken again next time or next week! The juices, like some other fried chicken joints, don't come flying out into a hot mess and the hot and all the spices and seasonings make the recipe quite unlike most other bland fried chicken joints. With that being said, the classic sides, with the mashed potatoes being my favourite, compliment to good chicken.As you may already know, Popeyes likes to play around with other cajun-inspired dishes that may be seafood or chicken. Aside from the stockage of sauces halfway through the promotional period of serving new things, this location will be ready to prepare it the way it's meant to be enjoyed. I would go to this one every time one of their overplayed TV commercials invite me to try something new.Finally, I enjoy ending off on a high, low, sour or mixed note by complimenting, slandering or simply remarking on the service that can make a difference. I do have to say that every visit has been very pleasant in where I never have to complain about any aspect of it. Name something that could happen and end badly and I can't tell you that it has happened to me. I'm glad because only a few fast food chain locations can get such a remark out of me like that. With all the many people you can come across at fast food restaurants, this is quite the treasure.Overall, I think I've found a balance of good fried chicken, pleasant people and the mixture that motivates me to come back to try something new or something familiar. Honestly, this place made me go to its nearby competitors less and make breaking my diet (temporarily) worthwhile. Give them a try (and use the Tuesday Special as an excuse) and you may see why I will drive 30 minutes to enjoy Popeyes chicken!

As it was a very quiet day for Subway at the St.George's Terminal on Staten Island Ferry (mid-day Christmas Eve), we ordered a couple of breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Now, I am an easy person, but I dislike someone practicing their trade on us for want of anyone else. We watched as the would be 'chef/server' was taught in front of us (and not quietly) as to how to 'cook' our sandwiches and their ingredients. And he kept doing it wrongly. So much for Subway (and their customers).
