Let me start by saying I normally enjoy the food here. The last 2 times we ordered or ate here it was a disaster. Let me start with a take out order, we ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich with a Della Casa salad and my husband ordered the Lombarda (prosciutto, arugula and Parmesan). They tell us 25 minutes. Husband gets there 30 minutes after ordering and nothing is ready so he waits. And waits. And waits. 45 after arriving the food is ready, all this time he is waiting they don't even offer him a drink or an apology. Hubby gets home and his Lombarda pizza needed a mowing! I mean seriously this pie had about 2lbs of arugula on it. Strike 1. Strike 2 last night, came here at about 6:30 to get a quick bite before we headed out to a show. Waiter comes over introduces himself and asks for our drink order both ordered diet cokes, waiter said I'll give you a few minutes and I'll put your drink order in if I don't forget ummm ok) every table around us gets a basket of bread, not us....ok fine whatever. We ordered 2 salads and a margarheta pie and I stress to our waiter please please no basil (I really hate basil on my pizza). Salads are fine now pizza comes....I know coal fired pizza, I've had coal fired pizza I don't care if it's a little blackened on areas this thing had only 4 edible slices, one entire side of the pizza was burned, and of course more basil than in your nonnas garden. I call the manager over and said look I don't complain but this pizza is burned and he agreed and said I wouldn't want this either can I offer you dessert and coffee on us I said no not necessary, I just wanted to bring this to your attention. He then offers us a drink I said no really It's ok. He apologizes and leaves. Now here comes our elusive waiter, you want me to wrap this I said no thank you he said you guys haven't touched it I said it's badly burned he said it's coal fired, I said was the coal sitting on the pie? I mean mozzarella isn't supposed to crumble into ash, waiter sucked his teeth and brought the bill. Ok not for anything we didn't accept your offers for free stuff and I wasn't looking for a free pizza but you charged us full price for a pizza YOU ADMITTED was really burned???? I think that's crappy customer service. You got one more strike until I stop coming.

Strawberry's is a sports bar type establishment, but it's great for families or a business lunch. Service is zippy and no-nonsense but not in your face. There's plenty of seating in both booths and high top tables. Pizza is made in brick ovens and is highly recommended. Other members of our group raved about the wings and two vegans in our party said the salads were excellent as well.Since it was a business lunch we were in a bit of a hurry and our waitress seemed to instinctively understand that, we were in and out in under an hour. We had such a good experience that we returned a second time the next day.

Our first choice was closed for renovations so I found Nunzioâs and other TA members gave it great reviews. We sat in the dining room for a nice dinner. Merry our server was awesome, bubbly and service with a smile. I ordered large grilled seafood (calamari, baby shrimp & fresh mushrooms) -fantastic!!! Grilled to perfection & just a touch crispy-perfect. Taking 3/4 of it home for lunch tomorrow. Hubby had chicken parmigiana, small order-which was very large -the red sauce on his was delicious. Overall, this is place the type of place we crave on Long Island but canât find anymore. We need to be in the area for a few days and will come back for a pizza. Glad we came and experienced a piece of our childhood!!

It is not a fancy place but the pizza is great. Frank the owner is a good guy. He makes all sizes of pizza up to 24 inches. Huge slices and choices of topppings. His garlic rolls are great. Visit Frank and check out his art on the walls and try his pizza and sandwiches

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much but ended up being pleasantly surprised. The waitstaff started off slow but came through once our food arrived. They have nightly specials and tonight's special was bbq ribs. They looked great and my brother in law confirmed they tasted as good as they looked. I had the veal parm and my wife had a cobb salad. Everything was better than average and the wait for the food was worth it after we all dug in. They brought us out some excellent garlic rolls and some with tomato sauce on it to munch on before dinner and that was awesome as well. Prices are about right for the area but ended up being inexpensive for the quality of the food. I highly recommend this restaurant.

You can't bet the specials at Nucci's South. We went on a Thursday night and it was a 2 for one dinner special. The choices were very good. Ed the bartender knows how to make a mean Manhattan. Wonderful local gem.

We had a great dinner at Mama Lena's. Everything we ordered was well prepared, from the salads to the fagiola beans and spinach to the shrimp parmigiana to the angel hair and penne pasta--very tasty sauce and small garlic rolls with the meal.Service was also very friendly and helpful.Located very close to the New Jersey Convention and Expo Center in Edison
