Inexpensive pizza restaurant a little off the beaten track. The Mexicana pizza was delicious and the prawns cooked to perfection.

It might be a way out of PDC but it is worth every single minute of the 30 min drive. The view is stunning, the restaurant is beautifully decorated, the staff very welcoming and friendly and the food to die for. Our large group ordered a selection of different meals including tapas. All came out at the same time and looked amazing. The presentation cannot be faulted. Those who chose tapas loved it and as for me I chose the pulled pork burger. A massive burger topped with pulled pork in homemade bbq sauce and topped with kimchee. A delightful combination I would never had put together but boy did it work. Even the chicken burger was a massive chicken breast cooked to perfection and smothered in home made aioli. The added bonus of fried potato skin crisps and olives on the table as a prelude to the delicious mains started our lunch off on the right foot. Even though we were stuffed we had to try the home made desserts. 3 of us chose the mixed trio just because we couldn't decide what to have so why not have 3?!. We were even given a little taste of the home made fruit liquors. I have to say it was well worth the visit for a great meal but it wasnt just great it was amazing. The best burger in the world!!!Kylie, Thank you so so much for taking the time out of your holiday to write such lovely words. I truly thank you for this. I am so so pleased that you all came up to Grillen yesterday and more so that your visit was a 'great' one. It was a pleasure to meet you all and I certainly do look forward to meeting you again on your next visit - maybe a different burger that time? Have a wonderful rest of your holiday and a safe journey home. Kindest regards.

Great quality pasta, salads, vegetables, pizzas, ... at very reasonable prices.Very nice and efficient Italian couple. From outside you might think it's just the typical low level pizzeria. It's not!Recommended by a local hotel, I always visit the "Mesón Tiagua" when travelling in Lanzarote.

A short walk from La Santa harbour, Verde Mar restaurant sits at the heart of La Santa village. A community founded on fishing, it now attracts surfers and other athletes to the rugged and stunning northern shores of Lanzarote. Verde Marâs rustic dining r

Six of us visited Mama Africa on the last night of our holiday after a trip advisor recommendation. We were not disappointed!A small town restaurant with big city quality service and food. We all had three courses and all of them were delicious. The staff were very efficient while still being fun and friendly. It was great to meet Monica the Chef/Owner who came out to greet us after our meal.Highly recommend a visit if you are in Lanzarote. Worth travelling for.

We visited the restaurant on a Sunday night recently and it was one of the most horrible experiences to date at any restaurant. Everything started out good with the starters, however, when the mains arrived the tuna steak that we had ordered was completely cold (cold like coming out of a fridge). We called on the waitress to send it back and she looked really confused by the request but she took it back. After a short while they came back with the steak. Nothing was moved besides some of the sesame seeds on top of the steak, it seemed as if they had just put it under a heat lamp (given that the plate was also hot now) and hoped that it would be ok. However, the inside of the steak had remained completely cold. We called back the waitress and told her that we no longer wanted the dish. She asked three times if we were sure, and we had to tell her three times that indeed we were sure. Bare in mind, that neither of the three waiters had apologised to us as this time, not even "oh I am sorry" when taken the dish back. At this point the other waiter comes out, dark hair, Italian, about 170 cm tall, and starts telling us in a very aggressive manner that a tuna steak is supposed to be served cold. And that if he put it on the grill again it would no longer be "medium rare". He then says that "you wouldn't order sushi and expect to be served something warm". Which is besides the point given that most sushi is raw and not a steak. At this point we understand that there was no point in talking to this guy. So we just said that we didn't want the dish and that was it. At this point the table next to us had started speaking about us sending the dish back (in german, which I speak as well). This waiter who had just spoken to us walks over to the other table and at this point one of the guests who had just been served hands the plate back to the waiter and say "send it back" and laughs. The waiter then joins in with the laugher for a good half minute right before our faces and pats the guy making the joke on the back. I didn't know if I should scream or what you even do in a situation like that, I was in chock. We quickly decided to skip desert and asked the third waiter for the bill. The waiter who had been arguing about the tuna steak and who had been laughing and joking with the other table comes with the bill. We tell him that his behaviour is not acceptable and that laughing and joking with another table about us sending a dish back is extremely unprofessional. Furthermore, that his behaviour have left us feeling very disrespected. He then says that he has never done this, that he would never do this and that he is the OWNER of the restaurant. That this behaviour could also be expected from a waiter but not from him, as he was the owner. As you can expect this argument goes back and forth, as I had heard and seen him do all of it, but he refuses to apologies for his behaviour. At this point we get the first apology for the night, he says "I am sorry you are feeling this way" but refuses to acknowledge anything else that we had to sit through. We paid the bill and left. In hindsight we should have probably just walked out without paying but we did.

Having had at least 3/4 of our meals at the pool bar at Club La Santa it was a refreshing change to visit Alma with its very modern interior and menu. Had warm seafood ceviche to start which was great, then followed up by Uruguayan steak which was okay (wasn't expecting much given it was only about 16 euros) and then a very nice chocolate orange lava cake to finish which wasn't on the menu. Great service, will be back next year

Found this after reading reviews after we went to the Teguise Sunday market and were very pleased. The food compared to main tourist areas was very good and proper Spanish. I loved the writing on the walls throughout the restaurant and the variety of succulent plants!

Doesn't look like much from the road, but what a find. Food was delicious, great ambience and the staff were friendly and attentive. Real Spanish hospitality. They brought us Canarian cheese as an amuse-bouche and fresh bread before taking our orders. Highly recommend el Tenique. Closed Thursdays and Sunday afternoons
