We are staying locally and wanted a restaurant we could walk to and Las Cardenas fitted the bill. We received a really friendly welcome and our waiter was really attentive. Although he only spoke a little English, he tried hard to explain some of the dishes and recommended things to us. The starters were very large and tasty and our steaks and the chicken were super! Deserts equally as good! Good food, good atmosphere and would come again if staying longer in Lanzarote!

We have visited this restaurant every year for 15 years. We really enjoy the food, particularly local products incorporated into the dinner menu.There's also an interesting selection of wines from Lanzarote and further afield.The restaurant is in the town square between the main road and waterfront.Check it out - you won't be disappointed Hi Peter,sooooo sorry I missed you this year, unforgivable but had to go and see a consultant in London..health before work for once !!! This restaurant is absolutely amazing, great service, great prices and incredible meat. We had the equivalent of their mixed grill for two but shared between four with a couple of starters and it was more than enough. Pork, beef, chicken, Spanish black pudding, chorizo, Spanish spicy sausages, onion, peppers and jacket potatoes plus. Could not fault anything. We cannot wait to return on our n3xt visit.

Having had at least 3/4 of our meals at the pool bar at Club La Santa it was a refreshing change to visit Alma with its very modern interior and menu. Had warm seafood ceviche to start which was great, then followed up by Uruguayan steak which was okay (wasn't expecting much given it was only about 16 euros) and then a very nice chocolate orange lava cake to finish which wasn't on the menu. Great service, will be back next year

the place looks like being a lowlife bar, but once in you'll be delighted by the food: great puntillas, amazing pulpo, incredible fried goat cheese and delicious papas arrugadas. The staff is informal but not really rude and the prices are really low. The palce is indeed not touristic as most of the attendants were local, but I do recommend to try it! My most recommended dish is Pulpo with mojo rojo.

Found this after reading reviews after we went to the Teguise Sunday market and were very pleased. The food compared to main tourist areas was very good and proper Spanish. I loved the writing on the walls throughout the restaurant and the variety of succulent plants!

Doesn't look like much from the road, but what a find. Food was delicious, great ambience and the staff were friendly and attentive. Real Spanish hospitality. They brought us Canarian cheese as an amuse-bouche and fresh bread before taking our orders. Highly recommend el Tenique. Closed Thursdays and Sunday afternoons
