The interior is great but sadly the food just isnât up to the standards of many other restaurants in this area. My starter of scallops and my husbandâs crab cakes were tasty, however the mains were poor. My fillet was dry and the Cajun rub made it very salty, the chips were horrible. My husband (who didnât enjoy a previous meal in June) played safe and ordered the burger, it was dry and tasteless. The service was efficient but too quick - we had finished our main course 45 minutes after arriving. Really lovely family restaurant. May not be the best setting but the food and service makes up for this . The most superb fish , with vegetables included. Great drinks too. Definitely worth a visit.

A fabulous venue, run by fabulous hosts Ronnie & Gay who make your experience every time you go. The food, service and drinks are faultless and there is always a friendly, family orientated atmosphere going on.The only thing I'm yet to try is the Tuesday Night curry night, which I've heard amazing things about. During our stay in the Four Seasons Country Club (FSCC) we visited this restaurant two times for dinner and one time for breakfast. The dinner was very good and the service both competent and friendly. The dishes offered are international with a slight preference to the UK which perfectly fits to the clientele. We missed more focus on local food. However, no complaints about the quality. We didn't like the breakfast. The so called small buffet didn't earn its reputation. You can order a lot of additional food but given the aspiration of the FSCC and compared with hotels on that price level there is a lot of room for improvement.Dear anspaul,Thank you for taking the time to post a review. I was pleased to read that you enjoyed the quality of the evening meals that you had with us. As regards the breakfast we are very different from hotels as we have full kitchen facilities in every villa. We also sell freshly baked bread and croissants from our mini-market on site. In a hotel many people are on a bed and breakfast tariff and therefore there is a consistent throughput in terms of numbers taking breakfast. With us that is not the case and numbers at breakfast can be very variable. An extensive buffet breakfast therefore does not work. What we have is a full menu with everything being cooked freshly to order, allowing anything from a small snack through to a full breakfast. The âbuffetâ that you refer to is just to allow people to help themselves to the basic items: juices, cereals, bread, butter and preserves, should they choose one of the breakfast special options that we have available.Ian PugsleyGeneral Manager

We visited Spikes for lunch recently and the experience was poor. We ordered drinks (one of which was forgotten meaning we had to ask multiple times) and they took very long to arrive. After ordering our food we hoped it would get better. However, it only got worse. We ended up waiting around 1 hour and 10 minutes for some pizzas and a burger which is not on. We were informed the pizzas had been burnt and that they had to be remade, but they also refused to bring the burger and pasta out early on when we asked. Overall the staff were unhelpful and didnât seem to care all that much - we had to ask multiple people to actually get some information. A poor apology was given and we left with no intention to return again. Would not recommend.

Restaurante Vila Adentro has a wonderful location, right in the middle of the Old Town. Itâs a beautiful restaurant with a rooftop setting for those who want to stay on after their meal.The interior is beautiful, old-world, characterful and distinctive.A shared starter of fresh bread, tuna, carrot and fantastic cheese cost 6 euro, although it is wrong that they bring it to your table without asking you first! (This is why itâs four star instead of five).Rack of lamb with vegetables was the most beautiful main course Iâve had in ages, fresh, succulent and rich, well worth the 17euros 50.My wife ordered baked potato with tuna, far superior to any potato dish she ever had, with the tuna rich and fresh and seemingly baked in. It had lovely presentation and terrific value at 7 euros.A couple of glasses of rose wine at 3,50 each and a large sparkling water at 3,00.A bill of 42,50 was extremely good value.The staff were friendly and hard-working.This was a truly memorable meal!
