Where to eat European food in Benidorm: The Best Restaurants and Bars

February 27, 2020 Lashaunda Abraham

Find out what European restaurants to try in Benidorm. Bask on four miles of golden beaches, hit the Mediterranean Sea on water skis or stroll along Benidorm's promenade and revel in its seaside charms; it's a true Spanish beauty of the Costa Blanca. Originally a fishing town, the city's historic center wows with its blue-domed 18th-century church and picturesque alleyways. Panoramic views reward those who climb into the surrounding Canfali hills, and nearby rocky coves reveal underwater riches for scuba enthusiasts. End a day in the sun with a feast of local seafood.

Our annual Benidorm is never complete unless we visit this little gem. Had to postpone our visit as the owners were celebrating their wedding anniversary. Congratulations from all of us. We will be back same time next year. Great food, good measures, good value for money. Make sure you stop by. Everyone needs a break from the all inclusive buffets. Just down the hill from all the RH hotels. Already looking forward to my next lot of chips. Thankyou all so much for such a great review. Really happy you enjoyed your food and drinks. We look forward to seeing you all again next year .

This great place was just a short walk from our apartment so we headed there for an evening meal, and it’s a really quaint place with a chilled vibe. We sat outside initially but due to a storm that decided to hit the coast and cause a blackout we had to quickly move inside! Merita quickly brought out some romantic lights and we carried on dining inside while the rain lashed down - it made it really memorable! Really glad we stopped by and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Hello what a great storm I think we all enjoyed it. Was lovely to meet you and hopefully see again sometime

What can I say about this place....Walking about the old town and heard a man saying birds eye fish fingers sandwich’s which got my attention straight away They aren’t pushy to get you in (which was nice as I hate being nearly forced in) , very friendly and helpful so when I said I would go back another day I actually meant it this time! And I’m so glad I did, wide range of drinks to choose from, If you’re a gin lover then this is a good choice to visit. Myself and my family (4in total) were only looking for a small afternoon snack so ordered the tapas for 2.....Plenty enough for us maybe a bit too much even for a snack. Now the food to describe it in one word Amazeballs (Not a word I like to use but seems appropriate for this) quick service, tasted awesome, the potato bravas (maybe spelt wrong) and the chorizo in white wine sauce I would highly recommend trying. But everything we had was great. The waiter (John) was helpful with the food choices and made us feel very welcome with his wit, humour and stories of life in Benidorm. And should he read this review I’ll just say ‘£20 Jez’ and he should remember what an awesome host he was. I can say with honesty that this will be a regular stop now when I’m Benidorm and I will recommend it to anybody I know who is visiting here. A definite must eat place for everybody, nice tapas or as I mentioned before just a nice fish finger sandwich xx

We discovered this place on our last night in Benidorm - if only we'd discovered it earlier. An authentic Italian experience rather than the mass produced fare in most of Benidorm's other Italian restaurants. The tomato and burrata salad was more than enough for two to share. The carbonara was light and tasty. Desserts were nice -tiramisu and cheesecake and service was attentive and friendly. Why look further for a great place to eat?

Having read the excellent reviews previously, we booked weeks in advance of our arrival and were not disappointed. Wonderful food, fabulous hosts! This little restaurant is tucked away in the Old Town, we’d never have found it without google maps. Our only disappointment was we couldn’t go again during our stay as they were fully booked each night. We will make sure we are more organised next time we visit Benidorm so we can experience more than just one night here. Communication by email is really speedy too! Thanks Ian, Ian and Andrew for a delightful evening. The Birches xx

As the title says was our 2 best meals of the holidays, missed this when searching for local places and it caught our eye when walking past so decided on a whim to go in, first impressions were good, lovely deco, the owner greeted us and gave us a choice of tables and made us feel very welcome, we were hungry so ordered starters (prawns were superb) and then home made lasagne for main, eyes bigger than belly but well worth it, second time went with pizza and the missus had the lamb which she devoured reluctantly sharing a small morsel with me. If there day off was not Wednesday we would have visited a third time, it really is that good.
