This place is always busy with people waiting outside for tables and the food is why! The menu is extensive and every bit of it good! We love the choices of omelets. They are cooked perfectly and filled with whatever you order! Very good toast, too! The staff work hard to keep things moving!

Jimmy's Broad Street Diner

Nice cozy “diner” type restaurant with friendly service, nice menu, great food and good prices. Stopped in for breakfast and ordered the Santorini Special which was eggs Benedict with ham, spinach and tomatoes topped with delicious hollandaise sauce, banana pancakes and corned beef hash. Definitely coming back to try the other menu items that they have to offer for lunch and dinner as well.

Stopped into this greasy spoon for breakfast. We waited to be seated and nobody tells us it is seat yourself. Finally went to a booth. Service was terrible. We ordered and the waitress literally didn't come back for 30 minutes. We only ordered a muffin and coffee!Wrong muffin three times. Nobody came to refill coffees or bring check. Muffins and coffee were ok, nothing special. Something is definitely amiss here, or maybe they just had an off day...

Returned to McKay's after finding it last year. Went on St. Patrick's Day. Surprisingly, the wait for a table was not bad. Had full belly clam dinner, eggs Benedict, and French toast with sausage. Everything was delicious! The portions are ample. Can't go wrong with their reasonable prices. Very busy spot. Only wish the wait staff was more welcoming.

My wife and I visited Skillet for the first time since they opened, and we enjoyed the food and the refurbished space. Formerly the home of Mad Hatter Cafe (which we loved), the renovated space has retained the same footprint as before, but new owner has removed a couple of tables, so the place has a lighter look to it. With the new lighter-colored floor and tables, it is relaxing to sit and eat breakfast. I had the basic eggs, bacon, home fries and toast to test out Skillet. Everything was cooked well. The bacon was made to order (crisp), and the home fries, made from red potatoes, were cooked just right for me--slightly crispy. My wife had poached eggs (perfectly cooked), and we shared a couple of pancakes (light, fluffy and delicious). So if you are wondering whether you should try this new place, definitely do it. You won't regret it.
