We stopped by for dinner after a long busy day and discovered this tucked away little diner in a gas station strip mall. It reminded me of a little local diner when I grew up in a small town years ago. Very local oriented, the owners nonetheless greeted us and served a tasty meal at reasonable prices. It had that down-home feeling so greatly missed anymore. We left feeling satisfied and restored in spirit as well. Hot bar as well as menu choices.

But go early, their hours are not extended.....10/11/17 - noticed they are closed today and a sign says "closed for a few days, pray for us",,, don't know what's up but we will pray for y'all!!

Waffle House #284

Reviewed By Pellaz2112

Stopped by this Waffle House after a visit to the Georgia Renaissance Festival, which is across the interstate to the west nowadays. For its first ten years (1986-1996 or so), the festival entrance was very close to where this Waffle House now sits. Service was prompt and friendly, and the restaurant was a little less than half full. I ordered a grilled chicken salad and a double order of hashbrowns scattered and smothered and both were served quickly (the hashbrowns came first, as you'd expect). The grilled chicken salad is really a pretty good deal for the price. As for the hashbrowns, well....as far as I'm concerned they could change the name of the place to Hashbrown House since they're so iconic...and so good. All in all it was a pleasant and tasty visit, and I'll almost certainly stop by here again before the festival is over.
