Jackies Airport Resturant

Have been here several times and always a winner. Hamburgers, breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Good sized servings, well prepared with quality ingredients. I especially like the rye bread, which is homemade here. So I have had a Reuben, patty melt and a club sandwich (ask for rye..). Never have room for dessert but it always looks awesome. Small but clean with the airport theme.

The service is great as was the food. The atmosphere is homey and we really enjoyed the food. The server was helpful about the area and it's history.

We finally tried this restaurant as we normally go out for dinner, not lunch. This restaurant closes at 3:00 in the afternoon. We were there about 1:30. Small Mom 'n Pop type diner. The older lady (owner?) that waited on us was nice but made a comment about being "too busy" earlier. Not really a comment that should be made to a customer I think. I ordered a ham and cheese omelet which came with hash browns and toast. The omelet had very little ham. Hash browns were nicely browned. I did appreciate the jam/jelly caddy on the table so I could choose which one I wanted for my toast. They don't have fountain drinks, just cans. The food was okay, but not so good that we want to rush back. We prefer the Jack Pine Inn downtown.
