Be aware that the restaurant makes use of every foot of space to maximize the number of tables for diners. If you are hoping to have a personal conversation or romantic evening, this is not the place. The crowd of nicely attired but high decibel speakers are there for the food and service which are quite good. There appears to be a bias to uncooked fish appetizers and entrees, eg, tuna tartare, salmon tartare, ahi tuna. We ordered the ahi tuna and the blackened yellowfin and thought each was delicious. A shared(large portion) zucchini crisp appetizer was addictive. The dessert options are pretty standard but making the tartuffo with pistachio ice cream was refreshing. Servers were attentive and, of course, BYOB makes for a reasonably priced meal.

My mother and I arrived early for a mother-daughter Saturday morning breakfast this past weekend. The entire experience was wonderful! We arrived at the dining room of the hotel shortly after it opened, and we were the only patrons. It made the meal even more enjoyable, because it was quiet and serene. Even if there were other diners present, Iâm sure it would still have been an amazing meal. The dining room is beautiful, sunny, and quiet. We were seated at a table next to a window with a lovely view of the buildings and trees on Quimby Street. The food was expertly prepared and absolutely delicious! Also, the prices were shockingly reasonable for such a sophisticated place. I ordered a 3-egg omelet with fruit and toast, and my mom ordered the eggs Benedict. Nothing were delicious! The service was fabulous. If I am ever back in the area, I hope that i am able to enjoy another fabulous breakfast at the Bernards Inn.

We went around 5:30p on a Sunday (9/22/19) night to enjoy some cocktails on the patio outside the bar. As we approached the front desk, we were told we would have to order our drinks at the bar and bring them ourselves to the patio area. Ditto for any food that we might order. That was a bit odd to us but, no matter, we followed the instructions. Placing the drink order at the two bartender bar seemed like a huge challenge...for the bartenders. They were completely overwhelmed and the male bartender (big hair) was almost useless. After our first drink had been downed, we went in to order food and were told by the bartenders we could NOT order food at the bar and take it to the patio area. So, we approached the main reception desk and spoke to the manager. She respectfully listened to our concerns about what we were told earlier but repeated that we could not order food at the bar for patio consumption. We asked why the change from only an hour earlier to which she had absolutely no response. Very odd. I'm not sure what's going on here but something has changed and not for the better. There is simply too much competition in a 5-10 miles radius for me to waste my time going here anymore.
