I ate here with family and friends while visiting Bristol Rhode Island. We were craving Chinese food and were told this restaurant was a great choice so we went. The actual restaurant is nicely decorated and clean. We were seated pretty fast. The food we ordered was very delicious, except for the bland eggroll which I'd never order there again. I started with the shrimp tom yum soup and then had the General Tao's chicken & shrimp entree. Our waitress was friendly (whenever she actually showed up at our table), but that's where our problem was. She really only showed up to take the order, drop off the food and then collect the money at the end. Every time we wanted a refill on our beverages we had to chase her down or ask another waiter to help because our waitress was never around. We never got refills without us personally having to go look for help from someone. It seemed like our waitress wasn't interested in attending to our table or anyone else's that evening. This left us with a very bad experience at this restaurant in relation to the customer service. So although the food was delicious, the customer service in was horrible. FYI: Luke's Inn has delicious Chinese food for cheaper down the road and their customer service is much better.

There's something for everyone here. They've got a salad bar, a make your own wonton / noodle soup bar loaded with fresh veggies (plus 2-3 other soup choices), Italian food, Chinese food, Portuguese food, sushi, raw bar selections, American standards and "pub grub" type snacks. The place is very clean and the food is constantly being checked to ensure freshness and quantity. On the weekends, you pay $1 more and they include carved prime rib. I was pleasantly surprised at how fresh everything is, especially the seafood, which tends to suffer on buffets. Even our picky 9 yr old enjoyed his meal. The only thing I wish they'd expand is the dessert bar. There's always a few random cake type things, some pudding, jello and then small pre packed cups of ice cream with random toppings. It would be great to have desserts that match the rest of the buffet's quality and taste. They recently expanded to a full bar menu and drink prices are very reasonable. We'll definitely return and recommend Bristol Buffet

The best Chinese food ever! Kids wanted chicken fingers and usually they are flavorless at Chinese restaurants. Not these....they were wonderful! Also had the scallops and shrimp with garlic sauce but with all shrimp......outstanding! Fresh, quality ingredients. Looking forward to the leftovers. Will definitely be back!

After decades away from Mee Sum, we tried it again for "old times sake." The "Old Times" were with the previous owners. When the children took it over, they were not up to their parents level of restaurant operation. It is not necessary to detail their past efforts, because they have not only corrected past negatives, they have surpassed their parents in all but one area... customer relationship. I am sure that will come. Meanwhile, their staff is more that up to the customer relationship, they excel! Mee Sums sparkles with amazing "newness" that at the same time keeps old-time atmosphere. Cleanliness is 5-Star, as is the quality, quality and pricing of the menu items. We went back after a visit just one month ago to be sure we were not just again in love with the past, and we again experienced 5-Star service and dining. One nice gesture is providing a 2nd pot of tea without having to ask for more. We are back with Mee Sum!

The orange chicken was great! The chow mien was disappointing and the Gen Tso's was good. I ordered the seafood combination and was not happy. The scallops tasted like they had gone bad. The lobster was chewy and dry. And the menu advertised crab meat which was faux crab. The veggies were fresh though. I'll eat here again and we will all order the orange chicken.

..the food is AMAZING....VERY flavorful...and PLENTIFUL portions too !!!I had called ahead initially to inquire about delivery; which is not available..but not an issue as I found their location easily enough...they have easy street access and off street parking as well !!We ordered the Pork/Shrimp Egg Rolls (2)..biggest Egg Rolls I'd seen in a very long time..Fried Wontons (12) delicious as well...Shrimp Egg Foo Young served with a scrumptious Brown Gravy and a Pt. of Shrimp Fried Rice...they cook their Fried Rice so it's brown in color..a little different..but still EXCELLENT flavor..for SURE !!!I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant; and will MOST definitely go back for more !!!
