We had dinner several times at Thousand Wok and were always delighted at the fantastic food. The Pho has just great taste - not greasy or salty like a lot of noodle soups but crisp, fresh and flavorful. My cousin ordered tofu and eggplant in garlic sauce I, not a fan of either, kept eating off her plate. The pot stickers are great, salty calamari... everything - fresh, flavorful, delicious and wonderfully priced in a relaxed atmosphere. They also have great beer on tap and in bottles. Highly recommend for a relaxed lunch or dinner.

Fast food Chinese - it is what it is. Don't expect gourmet or a Alhambra style takeout with gourmet chicken feet or pigs intestine. This is American style Chinese food - think chow mein and I am very surprised they do not offer egg foo young.But get over it. The place is clean and the portions are ample. The trays are always being refilled as it does a tremendous business. For the dollar it is perhaps the best value at the Oaks Mall.

I have lived in TO for 10 years and cannot find a decent Chinese place except for the strip mall grease pits. Man, I, sometimes jones for something that tastes of China(town) and it gets bad, occasionally.This is a branch of a San Gabriel Valley restaurant and they are cooking at a much higher level than anyone else in the area. It is a spare but clean 40 seat mall place but it is comfortable. The waitstaff is nice and helpful and the menu is broad with photos of the food for people who can no longer read- just point.All dishes are well prepared and large.I tried the noodles with veg and pork and found it tasty with lots of Veg. The vegetable offerings are done nicely and have plenty of sauce. I asked for some chili paste and a house made version appeared and it was good. The stir fry cabbage, especially good.All the dishes were in the $12- $15 range.So, when the need strikes, this is decent place to go for your Chinese fill-up.chef

Chinese Chicken teriyaki is the best for Chicken lovers. You will love the sweet and spicey taste of the chicken sprinkled with Sesame seeds. Ohh u will love it. The spring rolls are good but u need to get the right sauce with it.

The title should not imply pedestrian Chinese food, American Style. Panda serves non-programmatic Chinese dishes well and beautifully, and I enjoy going there---to any Panda Express. What it is not is exquisite high end Chinese cuisine as is its parent restaurant Panda Inn, in San Diego on Broadway, within a large shopping mall called Horton Plaza. The menu has occasional specials, but is of consistent quality. Calorically only a few meals are reasonable. Orange chicken is a dose of calories and fat that would make a cardiologist grimace, as with the Beijing Beef, which tastes great but is almost 500 calories for a ladle full of deep fat fried beef. Yes, it's really good tasting. And you'd always want more and more. Mushroom chicken and Eggplant with Tofu are really indulgent but are not out of the realm calorically. It's a GREAT quick-eat, in-and-out type of eatery. And I enjoy it. An average meal sets me back $12.

They are the Longest established Chinese restaurant in Newbury Park. We go there frequently and like it. Nicely prepared and presented food...quiet and pleasant ambiance...a family owned restaurant that is very accommodating.

Their lunch specials are great value, from $6.55 - $7.95 they have many selections. Includes soup, egg roll, fried wantons and Jello. Hard to beat such value.

We have been looking for good Chinese for quite a while in this area. We were thoroughly impressed with our dinner here. Everything was fresh and tasty. Our party of four had the sizzling rice soup with shrimp (really good), crispy duck (great hoisin sauce), pan fried soft noodles with shrimp, sautéed spicy green beans (fantastic) and sesame pockets (like a Chinese burrito!). We had plenty of leftovers to take home. Beers were really inexpensive ($4.50). This was our first time here and our server Daniel was fantastic. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other things on their huge menu.

Favorite is the orange chicken, beef chow fun, shrimp fried rice and chicken chow mein. Our take out order every time to take a break from my cooking. Tried the seasonal vegetables and it was fresh and tasted sooo good. Service is quick and efficient. Always greeted by the owner as if we were family. Best Chinese restaurant in Thousand Oaks area.
