Things to do in Yarragon
This place is hard to describe. Sort of like the poorer cousin from the cafe a few doors down. Tables and sofa and bar seating is a little all over the place. Place just has a bit of a messy feel to it. I had the $15 Eggs Bendicit. It arrived with an egg broken so yoke was all over the plate. It had a pretty good taste though.I didn't try the coffee. Friendly enough but doubt I will be back.

Excellent little cafe for those with food allergies and intolerances. The pies are delicious and the cakes are wonderful. The cafe owners makes a large amount of the items herself. Where else could you get gluten free tiramisu! :). I was able to get items that are gluten, dairy and soy free with no problems.

My co-worker and I stopped here today... as we weren't familiar with the layout of town, we struggled with finding a car park initially... but there are plenty nearby... all cleverly hidden. :) First impressions ... it's in a rustic, regional town ... you are offered al fresco dining with some vibrant green chairs out the front. However , step inside and you will see there is plenty of seating inside. The food choices are healthy for the most part. We ordered coffee and cake ( well lemon zing and a date scone to be exact). Let's start with the coffee... it was well made and YES it's somewhere you would repeatedly return to if you lived nearby. The scone... my co-worker said it wasn't traditional but it was really interesting.... it was so interesting, he questioned why he didn't take one away with him. The lemon zing packed a punch... every morsal was mouth watering deliciousness. The service at the counter was professionally adequate , but the young lady who served the table was a delight. Would I recommend this cafe? Yes indeed. My co-worker already has plans to return another day with his wife.

Not happy...$7.90 for an ordinary vanilla slice. Poor service, kept waiting when they had already put it in a container. I see this place has terrible reviews and now I understand why..much nicer places to eat in Yarragon!

Yesterday we went to Trafalgar to meet a friend who lives there and she suggested we meet at Cafe Thyme Out.We were there mid morning and it was quite busy, looked like people were having breakfast which looked scrumptious. We were soon attended to and one can get ones own water from a container on the counter, I like that .We ordered hot chocolate & teas, the chocolate was nice and hot with a marshmallow.Flavoured teas were good.Had a great sausage roll, lovely flavour and quite big .We sat at the bench looking out the front window, with the sun streaming in it was very pleasant watching the world go by . There is a nice outside dining area out the front. As the name suggest we spent a very pleasant hour chatting , Thyme Out, a nice place to visit when in Trafalgar.

Yarragon is full of hip cafes and they are very good. Yarragon Cafe had an âunder new managementâ sign and another sign promising home made cakes. We were delighted with a custard tart, egg and lettuce sandwich and good coffee. It has less glamour than some of the cafes around but the home made theme and the good value and pleasant service suited us very well.

Have been in the past and enjoyed previous visits. Today however was really ordinary. Despite being very busy, the kitchen failed to deliver on a number of fronts. Firstly, eggs benny was just ok - sourdough was sliced too thinly, resulting in rock-hard toast, and eggs were overcooked. The scotch fillet steak sanga was dreadful, virtually inedible. Whilst the wait staff were apologetic, no effort was made by management to address this which was frustrating. The hot chocolate was like dish water.

We stopped at Jimmy Dâs for lunch ,on the recommendation of some friends. The setting is great, very retro. We were seated promptly into a booth. Service was efficient. Our meals arrived without too much delay , even though the cafe was quite busy. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, two of us had the swap meet share platter, wonderful variety, all tasty and filling. The coffee also was good

Laneway dining in the heart of Yarragon. Surrounded by boutique shops and with views of the hills surrounding the town its the perfect place to sit and relax while being looked after by the friendly staff. Fully licenced and with ever changing specials th
Enjoyed my lunch there today. It was a simple enough dish, Bruschetta with blue cheese and mushrooms (with some rocket lettuce) but it was served, presented and cooked very well. Was delicious.Accompanying latte was okay, nothing special.Partners burger looked great but didn't hold together when eating. Was quite wet, but she did say it tasted okay.Cafe is tight for room. I didn't find this a big issue as it's definitely the trend to crowd the punters in tighter these days. This place is very worthy of a second visit, vthe menu has something for everyone and plenty there that I'd like to give a crack next time.I'd like to make this Cafe my local 'go to' place, the coffee would need to take a step up though.
