We are regulars here and enjoy the ambiance, great service while enjoying breakfast or lunch watching the comings and goings on Bridge St. Recommended are the quesadillas (they will make to order and add crab if you wish), and vegetarian burger which is tasty and delicious. They offer dinner every month on the date of the full moon which is an extra bonus. Servings are plentiful and we never leave hungry.

I write this today Friday after my first experience with River Cat. 3 adults at 10 am for breakfast. I left underwhelmed.The outside seating was full and the inside had only 3 open tables.I noticed that 80% of tables appeared to be waiting for their food.We waited to even see a server. My daughter went to get menus from counter.We mentioned at this point that one of us had an appointment so we would like to order. Total time in and out was about 90 minutes. I ordered basic eggs, potatoes, bacon (hostess said their bacon was special, to die for) and TOAST.Received meal promptly, no toast until I went to counter and asked for it Water was served in old fashion glasses (Luke warm). Coffee was self serve and excellent but server did not tell us that when she took the order.So where are the Pros and Cons:Pros: Off-street parking, outside seating, great coffee, fair prices.Cons: Somewhat disorganized, slow service, small portions, no Air Conditioning (it was a 90 degree day), bacon ( special coating of Maple and Pepper . ) Did I say breakfast was my favorite meal? Very small place with homemade type food. The sandwiches we had were tasty, but not much substance to them at all. Not even sure there was a piece of chicken on one half of my sandwich. And for the price paid I canât say that itâs a good value. $11 for a breakfast burrito, really?
