My partner and I had seen some great reviews on Freckleduck so we decided to have breakfast here while we were in Geelong. I had the smashed pumpkin and he had the eggs benny. It took around 35-40 minutes to get the meals, but they were worth the wait. Absolutely delicious and quite unique. Weâll be going back!!

We attended Ebony & Ivory last night (3rd October 2018) for its advertised feature event 'Sicilian Night'. Whilst the set menu was Silician inspired (e.f. squid ink pasta, swordfish), it was essentially uninspiring. All four of our party left at least half of the main course on the plate. The seafood pasta 'first course' had one small prawn in it and a decorative 'garnish' of three empty mussel shells. No dolce (dessert) was included. There was no particular effort made to enhance the Sicilian theme (e.g. flag or emblem on table, table wait staff in costume) and the piped CD music stopped part-way through. At $75 per head, we agreed we had overpaid by a third. Premium price, average experience :(

Stumbled on this place by accident when trying to navigate somewhere else, but wanting to get out of the chilly rain asap! A great find - welcoming staff in a characterful environment, very tasty soup special just the ticket and delivered speedily as well. Enticing range of other baked goods on offer plus some delicious-looking sweet treats. Nice coffee too.

What a great find. Driving through stopped at two sugars for lunch. The rosemary and garlic pizza fantastic. Topped with additionsl cheese. Milkshakes just right. Great atmosphere. Attentive staff. Will be back to this italian spot for sure. The menu was extensive.

Our first time since the major renovations have been completed and we were pleasantly surprised, added to this the view over the bay is priceless!A chilly morning we sat in the full glass dining room and enjoyed the warming sun which made a very enjoyable breakfast.The menu is fairly comprehensive and will suit all types of dietary needs.Torn between the vanilla rice and the pancakes I took the advice of the waitress and went with the pancakes. Banana, Nutella and cream - 2 light pancakes but a big serve. We also chose the Jack Sparrow, savoury mince, spinach, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce served on sour dough toast. Very tasty and filling.Definitely recommend a visit and a return will be a must!

We were disappointed to hear that the kitchen closed at 3pm (it was a lovely sunny Friday). Fortunately, they allowed us to order a late lunch (within 5 minutes). There were no cabinet options, all orders from the menu only, so that made the meal more expensive than we planned. However, the food was tasty and visually appealing and the coffee was hot (as requested) and had good flavour. Our original waitress did not offer a smile or friendly conversation, but the others who followed were friendly and welcoming. This cafe used to be one of our favourite places in Pakington Street, but unfortunately, not any more.

My espresso was excellent, wait staff friendly and efficient; atmosphere is fun, patrons are polite. My risotto was nicely presented, a modest quantity and an appetising sight. I recommend for a working lunch.

We were on our last leg of Great Ocean Drive trip, couldnât find any restaurant open on the Anzac Day in Torquay. We found the Rook on google and give them a call..., they mentioned they almost close but they willing to wait and accommodate our big group. We glad we did. The food is amazing, the best Sri Lankan food, very authentic. Good size portion. Staff is very accommodating and friendly. Great atmosphere, the restaurant is modern and very clean but still give u a small feeling of Srilanka .... Can't praise Go enough. Sit inside by open fire or outside in tree fringed courtyard. Food delicious, inventive and good value for money. A good sized menu with variety. After ordering and paying at counter you are given a toy to identify your table. It's very popular in Geelong but unfortunately not open Sundays. Go has an interesting, warm and intimate almost quirky atmosphere with a touch of dignity. They have the mix just right and suitable for anybody. Nice staff as well. Just watch the step on entry as you don't see it when opening the door, because you are so busy looking at the wonderful warm interior and the yummy food cabinet in front of you.

Called in on a very busy Sunday lunchtime. We were seated straight away, had our orders taken quickly and received our drinks followed by lunches all in very good time. Highly recommended the soft shell tacos with coconut beef (amazing flavours!) my family also enjoyed the Angus burger, pulled beef burger and crunchy chicken burger - all excellent. Coffee and hot choc very good. Friendly and efficient service. I like this place and I would definitely go back. Just one thing...ditch the plastic straws please!!!!
