Within Rockland County, New City is located north of Bardonia, northeast of Nanuet, east of New Square and New Hempstead, south of Garnerville and Haverstraw village, and west, straight across Lake DeForest, of Congers. We had decided not to go here again after our visit nearly two years ago, but friends really wanted to go to have lunch there. The booths and the high-top tables are uncomfortable, so my lady reserved a table for five. Even though this was a Monday, and there were not many people there, a party of five came in, the hostess thought they were the party reserving that table, and gave our table away to them. So, we all scrunched uncomfortably into a booth.Nobody else had a problem with their meal that they voiced, but I noticed some anomalies with my meal. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich, when it was brought to the table, the top bread on one of the halves had fallen off, and the fries were just warm, not hot. The blue cheese dip that was supposed to be on the side had to be brought in a separate trip, along with ketchup, which most people automatically like with french fries. Even a subsequent serving of fries (it was an all-you-can eat promotion on them) were also just warm.When the bill came, my lady's coupon special was not applied, and that had to be corrected. When the seating problem came up, a manager was sent out to deal with it, and offered a free appetizer, and while that was not on the bill, again, they were just lukewarm and not hot.There's an old saying, once bitten, twice shy, that applies here.

Oh what a find for our lunch close to our destination of the Tenement Museum. Tiny little adorable place with super friendly, helpful wait staff and to die for eats. We had the window seat which offered a cool pleasant spot to enjoy our lunch. Hubs started with housemade butternut squash soup and freshly made tuna sandwich with chips. I loved my generous serving of teriyaki steak sandwich on a delish fresh roll and cilantro, carrot strips and crispy cucumber. It almost tasted like a bang mi. Mine was accompanied by a lovely, tasty house salad with crunch and lots of flavor. Find this great little spot on Essex Street near Delaney and enjoy the experience.

I wish I could give this restaurant 3.5 stars, but I will round up to 4!This is a very casual Irish American style pub and restaurant. It has a "comfort" style menu, much of it on the heavy side. The food is pretty good - reliable and enjoyable but nothing amazing. It's a total calorie splurge and a guilty pleasure for me but their tuna melt is delicious. I only allow myself to get it about once a year! It's huge and big enough for two meals for sure. Service can be great or it can be spotty, depending on the night. The booths in the dining room are comfortable and there are tv screens throughout so you can sneak looks at sporting events as you desire. The bar side of the restaurant draws a young crowd. Lots of college kids and twenty-somethings who want to party. My husband and I are in our "ripe old early 40's" and feel old there! We sit in the dining room area, away from the loud drinking crowd. (If you don't want to see this crowd, definitely stay away during Thanksgiving weekend, New Year's, SuperBowl, etc!!! Very young drinking crowd descends upon D & D's for some fun! On the other hand, if you are looking for a fun and comforting place to go drink some brews and hang with friends, you might like this!One thing I don't like is when the smokers hang out right outside the front of the restaurant...stepping out in between beers, I guess. I know this is common to see near drink-heavy establishments. Not my thing, but just a minor annoyance - walking through a plume of smoke to get through the door sometimes. Overall, a good neighborhood joint.

Thank you very much Ron , restaurant manager for the great customer service!!!! You really did above and beyond It was my first time here. Itâs located in the 3rd floor of Time Warner , accessible place. You can do walk in or according to Ron , they have a special table for special occasion. So , I am very appreciative of his time and great info about the restaurant it can fill up very quickly for lunch. So many fall in line that Sunday. I love the food choices and delicious desserts,They served us special desserts free for the birthday celebrant thank you very much Ron I highly recommend this place!!!

One hour drive away from NYC. Perfect spot for after a hike. The service is quick and good. The burger and fries are amazing. I believe the owner of this place is also the owner of District 96 Brewery, which is connected to the burger loft.
