We found this little Bar/Brasserie and are we glad we did. What drew us to the restaurant was a sandwich board advertising Mussels / Moules in Wine sauce, but were disappointed when the table next to us ordered the last available Moulds :(. But the good thing was we discovered Croque Monsieur Sandwiches. My husband and I thought we'd share it as we weren't that hungry. We enjoyed it so much we were tempted to order a second one.The staff spoke no English but we managed a smile and a Merci goes a long way.Thank you so much for your comment . We ate breakfast at the brassery, which was fine. Croque madame and omlet, coffe and hot chocolate.The food was mediocre, and the beverages were ok, no more. The omletwas served without any bread.we requested a little milk to add to the coffee, which they gave us, and at the end we discovered they also charged for it 2 euros ( without any notice).My husband said that had we asked for some slices of bread they'd probably charged us 5 euros more..I think he was right.

I wonder whether the Kings of France would pop out of the Chateau for a mid-morning coffee. If they did, they's have headed for the Marignan.Located in the square opposite the Chateaux gates and next to the house of Magic, it's a great place to rest those tired legs from all the stairs.Sensational sandwiches and coffee. Customers around were very complimentary of their fuller meals too.Lovely staff.Bet you see a dragon.

My wife and I each had an order of mussels. The establishment was promoting them. These were the lowest grade smallest mussels that we ever seen, Our friend had fish and chips and he felt that it was a miniscule portiion of food, We purchased a bottle for 24 euros. The wine and the service was not bad,My mother in law would cal a place like this a clip joint.

De passage à Blois, j'avais réservé un hôtel sur la rive gauche. Les restaurants autour de ce dernier étant relativement chers, j'ai préféré traverser le fleuve et aller voir du côté du château. Le Gabriel est situé au bord de Loire. Il vient de changer de propriétaire. La carte porte le nom "Chez Soan". Bon rapport qualité-prix. Menu complet à 22 ⬠avec deux choix d'entrées, trois choix de plats et deux choix de desserts. Plats bien réalisés et bons. Service très agréable. Déco moderne.

We went there for a late lunch around 2pm and were welcomed by the cook who was just about to close the kitchen. They told us that they would accommodate us and made us feel very welcome, not rushing us to order. The place is small, the menu is concise with a fair selection of salads, French style sandwiches and quiches, and a plat du jour. We sampled the regular menu and everything was very tasty. One could tell that ingredients are fresh and carefully selected. Most dishes such as quiches and desserts are home made. Their terrasse is charming, just a few steps away from a much busier square with much less charming restaurants.

Busy little restaurant frequented by a young crowd.However ,seated inside we were served by a young man who could have done with some help as he was the only waiter for inside and out.Having said that, food arrived quickly and was of an excellent quality. Roquefort sauce was excellent. Recommended

This lovely bar and restaurant has an excellent location, having a terrace looking over Blois. If you choose to sit inside however you have the joy of watching the owner freshly prepare your meal in front of you.Good home cooked regional food and a very welcoming atmosphere from the husband and wife owners who are you hosts.A typically French gem.
