I am Sat in the Cafe waiting for my food to arrive so decided to read these reviews while waiting ! Wish I hadnât ! However, pleasantly surprised that it was all âOKâ. However, Got the impression that âcustomer serviceâ is not seen as a high priority as customers are regarded only as âvisiting touristsâ never to be seen again ?

A must place to stop and eat fresh home cooked meals served with amazing customer service! They serve our favourite Earl Grey Tea with Honey! Comfy seating with great views. Bathroom clean and stocked. Definitely a must stop!

We ate here. First impressions were that it may be a bit rough. Pub at front, then oddly a kind of bookies behind which doubled as the restaurant at the back. However although we did not partake in the gambling, we did eat and the food was more than agreeable. Not much choice but very tasty and plentiful

We stayed here for a night before hiking Hinchinbrook Island and a couple after the hike.These guys were very helpful in all situations. The restaurant provided some good food and also advice.It was a little quiet when we were there and that is representative of the town in general. It's a small seaside town.It's more of a launching place for the Hinchinbrook island hike and fishing, adventure etc.Enjoy!Thanks so much for taking the time to review us. We enjoyed having you stay (& dine) with us. Happy continued hiking :)

Always stop in Cardwell especially for the Pies. We were lucky that he hadn't sold out of everything and had Beef n Kidney with mushy peas and a plain beef with mushy peas. They were excellent and definitely recommend you stop in Cardwell for the famous pies.This is a mobile van in the rest area at Cardwell.

Very enjoyable meal even though we were very late arriving. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. It was a shame that the weather was so bad we could not sit outside.
