This little gem of a restaurant is the only Laotian restaurant in the Sacramento area. They offer a mix of Thai and Lao style foods. You will find typical Thai dishes such as Pad Thai but also others less familiar. Lunch specials are only $5.99 and Thai Iced Tea or Thai Iced Coffee will only set you back $2. My green curry with chicken had lots of chicken in it which is unusual at most restaurants these days. No skimping here. Also serve beer for $3 and have a small but appropriate selection. Lemonade is only $1. Desserts such as coconut ice cream and specialty coconut drinks with tropical fruit also available. Variety of vegetarian dishes too. Wait staff/cashier was only one person when we visited, but he kept track of everything and did check on us a couple of times. He was very pleasant even though he was busy. Decor is attractive and pleasant. Bathroom was very clean. If you want a different dessert stop next door at Megan's Bake Shop and pick up a gourmet cupcake or hand dipped chocolate covered Oreo in a variety of flavors, also truffles and French cookies.

Do not let the name fool you. The restaurant have a very large menu to me all you needs beyond sushi. There five of us, none ordered sushi, and everyone ordered something different. No on was disappointed with their order, the preparation, freshness and presentation. We went Friday night and every table was taken, but we had a very short wait and service was very good even with the large crowd. There are only a few good to excellent restaurants in West Sacramento and I consider this a great place with consistent quality and service. I would say the prices for entrees are great value.

I came to Peace because it had pretty good reviews. However, you have to be very careful in how you order because they are used to cooking in a not-too-healthy manner (cheeses, soy sauce, creamed cheese), unless you are very specific on your order. All that said, the locals love the place.

It's all about the Spice! We use spices you've never heard of, for flavor you'll never forget!! Bali Kitchen is a family owned, friendly cafe in Old Town Sacramento that serves authentic Indonesian cuisine and other tasty, healthy Asian dishes.

I was in Old Town Sacramento last week with my partner who was attending a conference ar a nearby hotel. After checking out most of the shops, I found this little Indonesian-Chinese fusion restaurant at 1100 Front Street, across the street from the main commercial area and about halfway between the railroad depot and the old one-room schoolhouse museum. It looked like a chummy place, the menu was posted outside, and the price was right.I chose Cap Cay - white meat chicken, sliced beef, shrimp and a truckload of veggies marinated in house-made ginger garlic sauce, stir-fried and served over rice. I ordered and paid at the counter and the gentleman said “you can go ahead and take a seat anywhere and we'll bring it to you.” My lunch arrived a few minutes later. It was served on a cute square plate, and it was ʻono (delicious). Most entrées are $8.99 and can be prepared without meat - the menu states that that they can arrange preparation of menu items for their vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free customers. A variety of side dishes, appetizers, sodas and juices are available; no beer or wine. The restaurant is small (6 tables), friendly and clean. Hours are 11:30-6:30 every day. I highly recommend this place and would definitely go back.

This is the first time I had dinner here; previous visits were at lunch time. If you want well prepared, delicious Thai food with nice presentation this is the place to go. There is an extensive menu, everything to fresh and well prepared. Service was friendly and attentive. If you have room try their ice cream for dessert. You should not be disappointed. Don’t let the less than attractive shopping dissuade you.

This is our first visit to Bangkok @12 and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality and prices. We had the drunken noodles, tofu pad thai, and their house made dumplings, all of which were tasty and fresh. The meal was actually in between average and very good, but there was not a rating choice for that level. The restaurant is only a couple of blocks from the convention center, so if you are attending an event there, I highly recommend this as an alternative to the hotel food or trendy places nearby. This place just serves all around delicious food. We will be coming here again...for sure

Raku Sushi

Small but pleasant restaurant which serves a variety of sushi's. For around $22.00(lunch) you basically eat all the sushi to your hearts content. This restaurants service is very quick and the sushi is freshly made by one of 7 chefs during our lunch. The restaurant is small and crowded. Their menu offers a variety of different types of sushi to include a small salad bar that offers a small variety of condiments. You make your selection from their menu of made to order sushi. On the bottom of the menu, their is a disclaimer that states that "customers will be charged extra for excessive food not eaten," which I completely agree with and prevents over ordering "in my opinion."We placed our orders and within minutes our food arrived fresh and the taste was great. The salmon was fresh and well prepared. I counted 6 sushi chef's which accounted for the quick service. Our second and third orders was prepared just as quickly and was just as good as the first. The only downside is that this restaurant only serves sushi and not the traditional "bento box" that you might normally see at a sushi restaurant. Bottom line is that I would highly recommend this place for anyone who loves sushi.Definitely worth a stop into this place.

Don't expect the most fantastic Chinese food you will ever have, but the restaurant does deliver a pleasant meal. There are some more interesting items as well as the more expected stuff. We arrived for a late lunch when the place was quiet and mostly empty but were still looked after. Hard to say what the atmosphere is like when the place is crowded and noisy but in the more lull period the restaurant offered very comfortable and even intimate dining. The eggplant szechuan .was particularly good though it could have gone a few notches up in terms of spiciness. Overall, there is a clear reason why the restaurant has persisted for such a long period.
