burgers and brew

They serve hamburgers and salad, and beer and wine and are open very late. We found it on google.

The burger was just ok. No real flavor. Same with curly fries and onion rings and dipping sauces. They need to add seasoning or something to everything- burger, sauce, fries! It was pretty bland. Good sized portions of bland food. Good selection of beers. Nice atmosphere. Bland food. 3 out of the 4 of us all felt the same way. The one person had pastrami and sauerkraut so it had flavor.

This was our fourth visit here and every time we are amazed by how wonderful the food ands service are. This last time was no exception. Indeed, it exceeded our expectations. The menu changes frequently so making food recommendations are a bit futile but just know everything is great. The place can be a bit loud inside making dinner conversation challenging. I recommend an outdoor table on their patio. Incredible wine list.

This was my first time to stay at the Citizen Hotel. When I checked-in, the front desk staff mentioned I was entitled to a Marriott elite member benefit of a daily $15 credit, because this hotel did not have an elite member lounge. I decided to enjoy breakfast at their adjacent restaurant. I ordered their Grange Benedict for $16. My home fries were great, but, my eggs benedict were slightly over cooked. I hate that. I prefer a more liquid egg yolk. Also my smoked pork belly was a bit tough. Next time I would probably order a different breakfast. My breakfast was $22.84 less my daily elite member credit of $15. My net breakfast cost was therefore only $7.84. Not a bad deal, but, I would try something different next time if I received another $15 credit.

Ella's is terrific place for either a business lunch or elegant dinner. It starts with flawless execution from the kitchen. The food is consistent, exceptional quality, fresh/seasonable ingredients, and very tasty. I have eaten at Ella's over 50 times without a negative experience...We started with a dozen oysters, octopus and some cornmeal cakes. Very delicious. We washed it down with gin & tonics. We then grazed on the tomato/burrata and little gems salads. Very fresh, colorful and bursting with flavor. Our entrees included salmon (my favorite) and the NY strip steak. We supplemented it with potatoes and creamed corn. We concluded with a chocolate torte/vanilla gelato and lattes.Very attentive/professional service by Stewart. Manager Jason treated us like Royalty.Another memorable meal...

We went for dinner. Reservations are a must, they have an app online for you to make a reservation. Service was good. The food was fresh and tasty, but a bit overpriced for the venue. Ambiance was more casual then fine dining, but the prices listed were for a more fine dining establishment. We had 4 drinks, a starter and a main and shared one dessert, coffee and tea and bill came $138 USD (plus tip). Enjoyed our meals, but prices are a bit high for the menu offerings. They do have some interesting meal choices, i.e. Veal Brains, but not a meat veal main? Which surprised us. The server did explain well the nightly specials, which was a fish, steak and pork option. It is kind of like Italian food, but other choices as well. We're glad you enjoyed your experience with us, Carrie. As a clarification, we offer Veal Sweetbreads (but not brains) as a standard on our menu. Our entrees change frequently as we adjust them with the season's offerings. Check back with us for new entree options. Thank for taking the time to write a review, we appreciate it!

Stopped here for lunch after landing at airport. Sat outside, really nice garden area. Love the old theater and neon signs, cool atmosphere. Had the special of the day which was NY Waldorf Salad, hubby had enchiladas. Salad was fresh and very tasty. Chicken, apples, walnuts, celery on a bed of fresh bib lettuce. Really good. Wanted to have a cookie but several varieties were sold out already so settled for a piece of chocolate cake which was pretty good but not to die for. If I lived in the area I would definitely make this a regular destination.

Broderick Restaurant and Bar

This was my first dining experience at Broderick's - which came highly recommended from a co-worker. The restaurant is old, having been built in the 1800's but the food is fabulous. I had a burger with melted cheese and bacon with a 1/2 patty. My friend had the Old School burger. Both came with fries. We were both delighted. The only thing I can say that's even slightly negative, but expected for a pub environment - was the noise level. Be prepared for a mouth-watering experience.
